Clean room and ensuite. Room had the necessities and was comfortable. Staff were friendly upon arrival. The Fortitude Valley metro shopping precinct and train station are within convenient walking distance. The Ekka is extremely close and less than a 2 minute walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and was exactly what we needed.

Nice area and building, good common areas. However, it is a very old building, everything is timber, and you can hear it creak and crack when anything moves. We felt like we didnt have any privacy because we could hear people talk in the next room, which means they could hear us too. Mould in the AC wasnt too good either, luckily for us we had family in the area with a spare room. So we stayed with them for most of the time. We also didnt have any chairs in our room which was annoying and not comfy if you just want to chill out after a day of exploring. We felt like the room was very dirty, though we didnt see anything dirty it was more likey we felt like that because of the mould and the price of the accommodation. Also we had a very crazy guest next to us that decided to start screaming at 6am. Not much you can do with crazy guests but if there was more soundproofing that would have helped greatly.

This is a cheap basic accommodation option. I was happy with everything except would have liked insect screen in the bathroom to stop the mosquitoes. Otherwise it was great for me and I would go back without a problem.

We stayed in the loft room and were really surprised by how big it was – very spacious with three beds (even though there were only two of us). The price was very affordable and the location is great, within walking distance to lots of places. The staff were lovely and helpful. However, the room felt a bit creepy, and dated. At night was quite noisy. We could hear people outside and in the lobby late into the night. Also, there wasn’t any washing-up liquid or cutlery provided, which made it a bit tricky to clean dishes. Overall, decent value for money but could use a few small improvements.

What I did not like is that an intruder was roamong atlround lastbnight and was very noisy. I did not feel safe. There was water leakage through pipe from up somewhere outside my room, around the smoke area. Oneday I did not get hot water in my morning shower. The vending machine is tricky, not working. Otherwise it was ok

Unfortunately, soon after settling down in room 36 suffered an attack from bedbugs. Found evidence on the mattres. No staff around after hours, so fled to other hotel booked at short notice at great expense. Nice historic building, though, that would benefit from major investment.

The room was fine for the price. Get exactly as advertised in photo. Had outside verandah at each room door and outside smoking there was allowed.Quiet despite many rooms nearby. Staff were ok, interaction to the point. Not really welcoming etc. Limited parking and little room to manoeuvre out of car at space next to wall. Shared bathroom and showers. Not much room between shower door and lock door into shower. A lots of squeezing around to get in and out am I'm not exactly a larger person, 67kgs. No space other than floor for toiletries etc.Hot water took some time to come through and difficult to regulate water temp too easily. But, for budget accommodation it's affordable for Brisbane.

Stayed in a suite with a private bathroom. The door lock was partially broken, it will lock if set to auto lock mode, but in the middle of the night it just opened randomly. It is hard to close properly.

Friendly, undercover parking, elevator to rooms, smoking area provided with nice views. Disliked- only had 2 TV stations, staff were nice, brought in a couple TVs but same result then tv died after an hour… So no tv for the rest of the night.. Being a Manor the rooms are old but I liked it.
