Giants Table and Cottages

Well located to Mt Fields. It is a Large 2 BR even if we only needed 1. Very dated, poorly maintained, and dirty. Kitchen cabinets and cutlery drawer dirty. We had to wash dishes we were going to use. We decided not to cook so as not to have to wash everything. There was only one wine glass and when my partner washed it, he cut his hand and we had to bandage it. It looks like someone tried to repair the rim with a glass cutter and this resulted in an extremely sharp edge. I reported it to the office as we thought it should be thrown away. Washing machine sounds like belt is going. It was half full of questionable water so we had to run an empty cycle first. Turned out it also had a leak and the water wouldn’t stop dripping so we shut Off the water to it. Dryer took 3 hour and clothes were not dry yet. It’s not working properly. There was a used towel in the bath. The smoke alarm kept going off due to the dryer. We had to vent by keeping front door Open. Throw pillows stained. Spare pillow looks like it got retrieved from a dumpster. We have been traveling for 2 months and have stayed in 21 different accommodations at this point. This is the only one that fell below and way below our standards for basic cleanliness. Do not recommend.

It was a nice stay with spacious rooms and comfy beds.

If you have to stay in this area, you have very few choices, and this place is tolerable. The one bed we used was comfortable enough, and it was nice to have a refrigerator and laundry facilities inside the unit. It was also nice to see the platypus and kangaroos/wallabies at the nearby pond. However, in other ways this was The House of No. No reply to our emailed questions two days in advance. No notice that the only restaurant for many miles would be closed on both of the two days we were there. No light at all in the master bathroom. Essentially no heat in the clothes dryer. No instructions for lights or heaters. No upgrading of the facility or furniture. So decide for yourself. This won’t be your favorite place, but it will mostly do the needful.

The location was wonderful. Staff responded quickly. Kitchen was well equipped with minor exceptions.

It is a great place if you are into mountain biking. We were there to see area, walks to local attractions. Unit is big with 2 bedrooms. Queen bed needs replacing…you roll into middle. Nice to have restaurant on premise as this is quite remote.

Spot was beautiful. Cottage was clean and confortable. But there is no réception only a phone number : difficult when you do not have phone number in Australia

The cottage was very clean and was supplied with everything needed.

There was an issue beyond the property's control, as a result we were upgraded and staff ensured we were advised, taking extra effort to contact us.

Bed was comfortable, the kitchen had good utensils and pans, etc, and the accommodation was very well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was no wash powder on the day we were there, but there was a huge washing machine and dryer available for use. I would recommend this accommodation to families and couples. It was very spacious.

Brilliant place to stay close to Russell Falls and lots of nice drives around the area. Would recommend and stay there again.

Just felt like I was at home and not in a motel,the inclusions were fantastic,everything we needed was there,had a great stay,we were very comfortable,and enjoyed our stay very much,my daughter had a paranormal experience with a small child,we r both believers.any other reports like my daughter had.

Great spot for heading out to some hiking. Clean and well presented. Great having a washer and drier.

A great location, close to the Mount Field National Park. An older property with great sleeping options for a large group of travelers. Well stocked kitchen and good-sized fridge to take supplies. Got to see the platypus in the pond on site which was a treat. Fabulous communication from the owner and easy access. Sadly, lots of black mold in the shower corners and a bloody rag left in the washing machine. We also had to wash again all the crockery and cutlery we used as they were very dirty with fingerprints, lipstick and beer bubbles still on the glasses. Parking directly in front of the unit available and a nice walk locally.

The place was amazing. Truly spacious and super clean. The kitchen was well-equpped and the fridge is clean and big for us to store our water bottles. The living room has nice sofa and well decorated and not cluttered. The bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable. There is a laundry room to do our laundry with a dryer. The toilet is clean. A slight of an issue is that the flushing mechanism in the toilet is not working. We have to find a public toilet. Other than that, the place is brilliant and quiet.
