Travelodge Hotel Hobart Airport

The restaurant does not open on Sunday and Monday nights. They are woefully understaffed. Our checking was a disaster. We were not given the room we booked, they could not split a king size bed ( I suspect they don’t employ housekeeping staff over the weekend)as we’d booked a twin room with twin beds. Settled for a sofa bed as they would not refund us so we could go elsewhere. The breakfast was great ( the chef was barista, waiter and shuttlebus driver) and a trainee was left unsupervised at checkout which made our checkout protected. The morning staff were lovely and helpful unlike the Sunday afternoon staff who really didn’t know what he was doing so much so he was asking people to send him their booking confirmations. I wouldn’t recommend staying there unless you are desperate to stay near Hobart airport.

The reception and the restaurant are smells really bad. The bath leaked all over the bathroom floor , the couch is very uncomfortable.

Bed and room comfortable. Bar and eating area were third rate. Understaffed, out of stock of a lot of wine and meals. Put a bar in there and up staffing numbers and better the wine and food selection. This is entry way to Tassie. One of Australia’s food and beverage heavens. This F and B offering was like a country town RSL at it worst.

Clean room and useful location. However confusion on booking due to sale of hotel last November by Travelodge to Mantra. They were u aware of booking commitment re breakfast and other offers made by Travelodge. They honoured breakfast but not all amenities after discussion. Ok stay nothing special - only benefit is proximity to airport.

The hotel as a whole was quite cold. It was less than comfortable when entering the premises so jumpers and coats needed to stay on. I was unable to warm my room to a satisfactory temperature and no extra blankets were available in the room. Consequently i had a broken nights sleep with many layers of clothing required even in bed. I will not return.

They were under construction so it was a mess when you first came in. We would stay again and hope the remodel was done

Very tired room with paint chips and no minibar or room service available even though QR code paper advertising. I’m an Accor gold and not welcomed even when shown gold card or even interested in offering any service at all. Going through some sort of “Reno” but guy didn’t care about any inconvenience

Great location … close to the airport. Not bad size rooms & staff were helpful

New ownership, so we were there during the transition. The room was newly renovated, but the lobby was still in transition. The location to the airport is perfect and free parking for our rental car.

Arrival and departure staff were lovely and friendly, breakfast guy was overwhelmed and couldn’t fill up plates etc, cups glasses etc , food was ok but seemed understaffed.

Inundated with upsell messages before trip. Hotel staff neither responds to emails sent or answers or returns phone calls. Staff doesn't understand being VIP property or recognizes Gold members. Shuttle service only available in the morning not for when flights arrive. Don't choose if your criteria is a shuttle service.

The food was awful. Both for dinner and breakfast. Accomodation is fine but find somewhere else to eat.

Friendly staff. excellent service. Air conditioning in room wasnt working so they got another room organised for us. Reception staff then worked in restaurant later in the evening. Very highly recommend to stay here
