Meriton Suites North Sydney

There are a lots of good things about this property unfortunately when the beds are that bad, and you cannot rest properly, I could only walk bending after my second night în that bed, everything else becomes irrelevant. Both my husband and me, been in our 50+, had serious back pain after sleeping (sort of sleeping, as we didn’t manage to sleep too much) în that bed. Second bedroom bed apparently was similar, our 20+ son complained he could not rest properly either. Firm it’s an understatement, seriously, I stopped overnight to cheap motels with more comfortable beds! Else… view, it was exactly as advertised, beautiful, apartment was clean, ensuite had some issues, toilet paper was keep coming on the floor are the roll support was mounted wrong, shower would not stay properly and would splash, but all those would not matter if the bed would’ve been comfortable, adding that to the beautiful view, would’ve been really nice… but as it was, was not… Facilities… we only went to the pool and sauna. Pool chlorine smell was very strong, I know they have to wash with chlorine but it was excessive… sauna was nice, good sauna, nice, helped a bit with the back damage the beds did.

This is a standard Meriton suite: open, spacious and generally well appointed. There are couple of small quibbles, though. There are never enough toiletries or washing up detergent for a multi day visit. The lift is tricky to work out for first timers. I purchased some goggles from reception and was charged more than the catalogue price. I gently challenged this but the higher price stood . Disappointing.

Lovely spacious apartment close to amenities. Service was prompt and attentive. Excellent stay.

Loved being able to do laundry after our cruise before our next adventure. Also loved being able to save some money by cooking in the suite and not having to go out.

Parking is a problem Not enough spaces And it should be included as the price of the rooms can be expensive

Great stay

Our stay was excellent. The location is a little far from the downtown area / Opera House area (it's across the harbor), but the area was quiet. There is a grocery store a 3-minute walk in one direction, and the train station is a 3-minute walk in the other direction. We were able to travel to the downtown area, and other parts of Sydney, easily by using the train. It took about 10 minutes from leaving our hotel room until we got downtown. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable. A full kitchenette and washer and dryer in the room allowed us to cook and do laundry. The staff was extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel, even if you're planning to spend a lot of time in the downtown area.

Extremely helpful staff (Sarah on reception). Liked the fact she called the room a few minutes after arriving, to check we were happy with the room. Very clean, a little small but practical as needed.

Amazing location across the Harbour. Beautiful view of the opera house and bridge. Conveniently located near the train to take directly to Circular Quay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Book the suite with panoramic windows!

Room on the 23rd floor had an amazing harbour view and was close to everything via walking or public transport. Room was very clean and had heaps of space. No sign at all of good environmental practices though, no recycling, no extra blankets so had to rely heavily on heaters for warmth, but overall very good, felt upmarket

Stunning room, views and staff

I specifically chose this property because of the car parking. Even though I selected ‘free parking’ in my search options, it wasn’t until check in that I was informed that parking was a considerable extra cost per night. This was an extra expense that was not budgeted for, causing me to locate more affordable parking that was an inconvenient distance from the accommodation. There were no free street parking options during the weekdays, and limited on weekends. If this information was made clear at the time of booking, I would have decided not to hire a car. Or I could have chosen a different property that suited my needs. Mould on grout in the shower, stained carpet in the living room and the balcony tiles were filthy! Management did not respond to my email complaint.

Quiet North Sydney location. The apartment was clean and fresh and so good to have a kitchen and laundry.

The kitchen was fully equiped. Having the washer and drhyer in the unit was very handy after a 14 day cruise. Great location, close to transit

Check in was fast and efficient. 4 elevators A B C D, dependent on your floor, easy tap room card telling you which elevator to use. Clean room. Only used kitchen for coffee and tea, but it was fully functional and room had washing machine and dryer. Short walk from North Sydney Rail Station and 500mtrs from Victoria Cross Light Rail. Greenwood Plaza just opposite railway station.
