I could not recommend this resort enough. Staff were super accommodating and attentive to all needs. I was overly impressed by this resort and all activities and tours booked throughout. You really get your moneys worth and this is an experience everyone should get to do! Also the fine dining had one of the best affogatos I’ve ever had!

There are ants in wardrobe, coffee area, toilet... The stuff told us to spray insect repellent (inside the room) and kept the rubbish bin clear, but no housekeeping (to clear the bin) till at least 3pm the next day. Room access card not working after breakfast (before 9am) on the last day, and we were not the only room has this problem. Luggage storage after check-out is just leaving our bags at the front of the hotel entrance. We understand we are in Uluru, but for a 5 stars hotel, I would expect better pest control, so that we don't need to throw food scrap and packages in the public rubbish bin near the pool.

Sails in the Desert - you are paying for the opulence of the reception and the fact you have available but chargeable spa treatments and restaurant that offer a 52 dollar breakfast buffet! Small pool but kept nicely but even out of season will be busy. But unfortunately the opulence of an advertised 5* resort does not follow through to the accommodation which at best is equivalent to a dated roadside budget motel. Save your money and stay somewhere else and what you saved pay for a helicopter flight over rock which will be a more pleasurable memory.

Very slick professional set up, room cleaning not totally 5star, nice bar, coffee shop breakfast choice better value if you wanted a light breakfast, all the resorts are linked and different facilities available at each.

Hotel main lobby areas and room in itself was good. Restaurants had limited food options. However its close from the town center which had better food offerings. Overall it has more of a motel type of vibe, so the price per night seems a bit high and 5 star definitely seems overrated.

Lovely resort with nice, spacious rooms, comfy beds, modern fittings and effective air conditioning. The grounds were beautifully maintained, including a pool with plenty of lounges to relax in. We were grateful for the free self-serve laundry facilities, complete with soap, too. Any tour we booked included pick up right at reception so we didn’t need to go far at all but it was only a short, easy walk into the “town centre”. Each room had a balcony but unfortunately ours wasn’t very useable due to an overhanging tree. Luggage service is apparently available but wasn’t offered to us on check in and would’ve been helpful.

We booked not knowing we couldn’t get from Hamilton Island to Ares Rock in a day but they cut us NO slack and both Expedia and Sails in the Desert said we had to eat the $400 dollars for 1 night. I am so turned off by them because they should have told us, considering we were flying in from across the world and had no idea. It’s not like we cancelled because we had reason. I will never recommend them and hope others don’t get caught up in this. Sails on the Dessert sucks!!!

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable and near to the Town Square. Only thing we noticed is that the food is expensive ($100 pp for the buffet), which meant we had to look elsewhere. The dining room was quiet which suggested others thought the same. They would be advised to reduce the cost, increase numbers and reduce waste. Pool lovely. Flies are a downside to the whole area - take or buy a fly net!

Rooms fine. No hot water the first morning which was frustrating. Also room cleaning arrived around 15.00 (after we were back) despite us requesting at 9am. Buffet dinner had good choice but was overpriced for a buffet.
