Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast and dinners included. Very clean. Only negative was that smoking is allowed on balconies, which gets into the other rooms when windows are open. Hotel should be fully non-smoking.

We booked a suite that accommodates four adults（1 king bed and 2 Twins bed）， at the time of booking, my father-in-law was unsure he could join us or not，He only decided to come and bought his ticket in the final week before the trip. However, when we arrived, the hotel claimed that our reservation was for three adults and charged us an additional €70 per night. This was the first time I’ve ever heard of being charged extra while still staying within the room’s stated capacity! We also had dinner at the hotel, which turned out to be the most expensive meal of our whole trip 3 main crouses no Appetizer no dessert cost 199 €!

Great location for Hallstatt visit, Gosausee, Dachstein glacier and five fingers - not to mention the multiplicity of walking trails.
Wonderful friendly helpful staff - everyone and everywhere.
Free soft drinks 24 hrs, free parking, and good fast broadband. Free caffee and kuchen every afternoon.
Swim in / out pool from spa open all year, smallish but big enough. And a hot tub...
Great indoor and outdoor play areas for kids which are not intrusive.
Breakfast great variety and always replenished.
Evening meals buffet and a la carte great High Austrian cuisine.
We loved it - it exceeded all our expectations.
Teaches UK four star what four star should be and beats them hands down.
Wunderschon - do not miss out on this hidden gem - go. - the norm for Austria.

Picked the “2 bedroom” room -the room was a slightly larger than average hotel room stuffed with extra beds-over priced in my opinion -the restaurant had 3 entrees to chose from and a small buffet-we went down the street to eat because of no vegetarian options-waiter said they were to busy to accommodate us!!!

This was a surprise for us. It wa supposed to just be a one night stop over between big cities. But Gosau turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel was amazing, one of the best included breakfasts ever! Don’t miss Lake Gosau - Spectacular. And the pizza place at the end of town was awesome as well. The drive to Hallstatt is easy and scenic. Gosau was a nice reprieve from the business of Hallstatt and a must see town and Alps Lake

We stayed 3nights and we and our kids (2 and 4) loved it! Beautiful rooms, great bufet breakfast, friendly staff, indoor play area, huge outdoor playarea/playground with so many fun toys and things to do for small and big kids - if it was up to our kids we would never leave the hotel....excellent dinners too.
Sparklin clean, quiet, mountain views - we are definitely coming back ( and we live in usa) soon.
Hotel is close to many turist things to do: cablecars to mountain tops, saltmine, icecaves, lakes....Highly recommend to families

This is the rudest staff of a hotel I have ever experienced. We spent three weeks traveling Europe in nine hotels, I have never left a hotel in the middle of a stay but did in this case. The hotel is in the middle of a beautiful valley with nothing else. The rooms are decorated in college dormitory style, cinderblock and cheap carpet, no air conditioning which means the window is open to lots of road traffic. Many playgroud activities if you bring your eight year old... luckily we left and found a hotel at the same price overlooking the lake in Hallstatt, which is worth visiting! Bottom line-DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

This was a great hotel..My wife and I and two kids stayed there for a ski vacation.. Its was great, just a 5 minute walk to the ski lift, the hotel has its own ski lockers at the lift so you dont have to carry you equipment back and forth. The hotel also has a heated pool, spa, and sauna to relax after a long day of skiing.. We will be back next year....

Great place for stay, we enjoy a night stay when we visited Hallstatt. The room is clean, big enough for two. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was one of the best during our two weeks trip in Germany and Austria. Parking and breakfast are free.
