Prime location from Union station. Once we got off the train from yyz we found the place easily! This location was close to the aquarium, the path and Union station! Apartment was alright, we used vacuum ourselves and I had thought there was a Keurig but there was not, which was fine because there were plenty cafes. We were able to sleep well. The view was magnificent! Also we messaged if we had questions and they were quick to respond, thank you! We will stay here again! This was the first time for us in Toronto and we found the place easily and travelled on foot easily!

Location is everything. Didn’t know the check in time was precisely 4pm- we made a quick call and got in at 3:40. We were lacking face cloths, hand towels, made another quick call and they were delivered.

The elevator situation was a major problem. There are only three low-rise elevators and three high-rise elevators right next to each other in a small cramped space. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for an elevator during peak hours, and when one finally came, it was crammed full of people. The elevators kept breaking and were frequently out of service.

The room was clean. The views were amazing. The room was as advertised. The issue: it took an hour to check in because the KeyCafe system did not work properly. The system accepted the code, but it did not deliver the key. It took many phone calls. The property managers were very helpful. They had to hand deliver a spare key to the lobby for us. However, the missed hour did lead to us missing activities in the city that we we were looking forward to enjoying.

Very nice area right in the middle of downtown Toronto. Walking distance to Hockey Hall of Fame, Scotia Bank arena and Roger’s Center for baseball. Room was quite loud as you can hear the hustle and bustle of a major metropolis. Elevator was constant noise as room was next to the elevator. Room could use improved curtains as the treatments allowed the sun into the room.

Not the room that we thought we were getting. We were put in a different condo. And we were not informed that there was a pool. We heard from other guests. But we were not given access to it. The check in process was very stressful. The room was not ready at 4pm and we had to call support and sit on hold for 20 min to talk to someone. The elevator took 15-20 min to come every time. 2 of the 3 elevators were out of service. The security at the lobby was very rude and not helpful at all during the trip.

The location and condition of the unit was pretty great. The view was amazing! We just had an early flight in and there is no front desk or place to drop your bags before check in. The concierge told us that we could drop our bags in the unit at 1pm, but we ended up waiting an hour to drop our bags and in the end took them to a restaurant for beers to wait for check in. I would recommend the property if you are coming to and from the place within the hours of check in and check out. No customer service in the building makes it tricky if you are having a luggage issue or otherwise.

We stayed in a three-bedroom suite at The Grand York Toronto for four nights (Feb 28 – Mar 4) and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The most serious issue was that boiling hot water came out of all taps for the entire stay, including sinks and showers. This made it impossible to safely wash hands or shower without risk of burns, meaning the unit effectively had no safe usable running water for the duration of the stay. There were also several additional problems, including elevator outages that forced us to walk 22 floors with luggage, repeated key access issues, and fire alarm disturbances during the stay. These issues were reported during the stay, but they were never resolved. Given the price of the suite and the basic habitability issues experienced, this stay fell far below expectations. I hope these problems are addressed so future guests do not encounter the same situation.
