Room was clean and had the general provisions of a hotel room. It would need some upgrading. Breakfast was basic but fresh. Parking was gated and relatively secure. Staff was friendly. Overall a fine experience.

I stayed at the Senator Hotel in Timmins for one night, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room I was given was clean and quiet, which made for a comfortable stay. It felt well-maintained and I appreciated the peaceful environment. However, one area that could use some improvement is the elevator lobby on the parking levels. It didn’t seem as clean or tidy as the rest of the hotel, which stood out given the otherwise good standards in the main areas. Aside from that, everything else was fine. Staff were friendly, the room was just what I needed, and I had a restful stay. For anyone looking for a quick, comfortable stay in Timmins, I’d definitely recommend the Senator Hotel. Just a small note about the lobby area, but everything else was great!

My truck was gone through in the so called secure parking. Accidentally left it unlocked as a rental. Only lost a sweater and a charging cord. Parking not to secure.

The parking situation was a little unsettling. It was very dirty and not very brightly lit.Thankful that the underground was locked & needed to be buzzed into. All 2 star ratings were due to the underground & areas leading to the underground. The room was clean. Lobby was confusing.Giant torn heart needed to be removed. from Valentines day? weird toys on the rocks should be removed. Kind of junks up an otherwise lovely space. The breakfast was a little disappointing. 2 mornings. 2 different potato options. both raw. Sausage had a weird sour taste. Bacon was great! cooked well. Staff was a little less than impressed with their jobs. Sat on their phones watching whatever. competing volume with the television that they had set to Calgary news (probably would have noticed, if they weren't on their phones) other staff came for breakfast (assuming it was staff, they certainly all knew one another) and they were loud and jovial. Which i don't really mind, but it made us feel like we were intruding on their space. Front desk staff were very courteous. The key card system on the elevators was a little alarming. We nearly left our keycard in the room. Then we realized that should we have locked ourselves out of the room, we wouldn't be able to get to the lobby unless we took the stairs. Same can be said for emergency situations. Needing the key card to exit is not a safe situation. Obviously need the key card to enter, but going down / exiting is not a good thing. Otherwise. Great hotel

I’m giving this rating mainly because of the staff, as they were very kind, and also because the rooms were really clean. But in general, I don’t know what to say—the parking was really bad, the lobby was really bad, I asked them for water, and they didn’t give me any. There was just one coffee in the room, and overall, the experience wasn’t that great for the price.

Starting with day 1- elevators were not working, we were not given any instruction on how to reach the 6th (my room). We were going around the stairs looking for our floor as the stairs didn’t go above 3rd floor. After 30 mins, we met few people who figured out the way. Room wasn’t cleaned, as they were understaffed.

The room had been tidy’d but not cleaned. The end tables hadn’t been wiped. The mattresses were old and stained. There were either mould or burn marks on the mattress. The floor was also stained. The heating/AC unit was disassembled for some reason. The elevator wasn’t working that night. I didn’t stay the night. The staff were very accommodating when I informed them of these concerns. They offered another room and it wasn’t much better than the initial room. The staff was very accommodating when I requested a refund. They worked with hotels.com to make this happen quickly. I don’t plan on staying there again.
