Best Western Walton Park Hotel

I booked this hotel as a mid stop to Cornwall. As an alternative to a hotel at a service station, I thought it was delightful. As I watched the sun go down over the sea, the world felt a better place!

Excellent stay. Great staff - friendly and helpful. It's an old building but they have really made an effort on the areas that matter including the rooms. Good, reasonably priced food in the bistro and restaurant plus an excellent breakfast. Will return.

Very poor and uncomfortable beds. Bathroom is a poor state of repair and overall, the hotel is very tired a dated.

Hotel has seen better days. However the view is stunning. Main issues were in the bedroom. Most uncomfortable bed ever, thing was even a four poster but with a terrible mattress. Scrap the four poster and just put a decent bed in! Room was very basic, upgraded to a executive or whatever it was, but apart from the view there was nothing special about it. No heating or cooling controls either. But the view was amazing. You could hear absolutely everything happening around you. The floor boards in the room upstairs would literally wake you. If someone moved upstairs, you knew about it. If someone walked by in the corridor, the bed would move... View was great though! Car parking was good enough, shame there wasn't much of an outdoor space to enjoy a drink near the bar. Attempted to talk with someone on checkout to mention our feedback for the two nights, waited ten minutes, dialed the number on the phone - and no-one appeared. Wedding party last night, we enjoyed their DJ from the uncomfortable bed. Congratulations to the newly weds.

Beautifully situated, ex Clevedonian so perfect for us. Lovely hotel will definitely return.

The staff were very nice easy Parking breakfast was good as well. It is an older building so starting to look a little bit ragged in some places but I slept well and it’s clean.

Had a lovely one night stay at this beautiful hotel which has lots of character. I paid for a larger sea view room which had been recently renovated and even had a four-poster bed which was a nice surprise. It was spotlessly clean. The communal areas are a little tired but I expected they might be given the level of investment it would take to update everywhere. Breakfast was buffet style and fairly basic but sufficient. Very friendly and helpful staff

This was a great hotel for the night. Our sea facing room was very reasonably priced, massive, beautifully decorated and the beds extremely comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and allowed us early access to the room and to leave our cars in the car park the next day while we went for a walk The hotel is situated just a short walk to access the coastal pathway that takes you sea front/pier area, and from there you can loop into the town itself. I'd highly recommend staying here and will do so again if in the area.

Our 2-night stay was a pleasant one overall. We were pleased that the carpark had plenty of EV charging spots. Upon check-in we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, who told us we had been upgraded to a room with view of the Severn Estuary. Our room was clean and the view was indeed beautiful! It had some newish UPVC windows put in and was well insulated (and quiet). The radiators worked fine and we felt the temperate was just right. The room was bright, spacious, had a seating area and a large walk-in closet. The bed was king size and comfortable. Hairdryer in the drawer of one of the bedside tables. The bathroom could benefit from further renovation: while the shower pressure was good, it took a while for the hot water to come out. The bath tub was quite high, so one had to be careful stepping in and out. There was no rail or handle on the wall or side of the tub for support - this wasn't so much of a problem for us but could be tricky for guests with mobility issues. Also, we noticed an unpleasant sewage smell drifting from the toilet so we had to keep the toilet lid and door closed at all times. We think Walton Park is a good option for those wanting to spend a day or two in Clevedon. Note it is a 15-minute walk to the shops and restaurants (which are all located away from the pier), but the hotel is well located for coastal walks and the view of the estuary is unbeatable.

Room 411, executive room with 4 poster bed. The mattress needs upgrading as on the left hand side I felt the springs digging into my back! It was very uncomfortable indeed and I did not sleep very well at all. The reception staff needed to be a bit more cheerful too and needed to play some background music as it appeared very unwelcoming on entry.
