We stayed at Caistor Hall as we were going to a wedding reception nearby. We received a warm welcome when we checked in. The room itself was very large with a good modern bathroom, although to get the shower at a reasonable temperature was a work of art - you need to be patient that the hot water will eventually come! The decor is a little old fashioned but in keeping with the building. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent with a good choice available. We would definitely stay here again if we needed a hotel close to Norwich.

Slightly understaffed we thought. Staff were very pleasant and exceptionally well trained in service and knowledge of menu’s. Breakfast was cooked to order which is always a good sign. Some areas, like windows, were dirty, but hotel was clean. Main areas were well decorated. Bedrooms less so with signs of wear and tear.

Lovely place, a rural retreat, but close to Norwich and the A47. Excellent staff and service. Very good food and we didn't have time to be more adventurous, but I'll be back! Competitive price too!

The room was great, lovely quiet location and staff were very helpful. Having the suite was a real treat although a shelf or platform by the freestanding bath and extra toiletries would have been nice. The property is ideal for an exclusive break but looking a bit tired in places, they could make much more of the gardens, which looked rather unkept, but perhaps the time of year was a factor. Unfortunately the fine dining options were not available, which for a bank holiday weekend was dissappointing. Still had a lovely stay and would recommend

Really nice place to stay. We never had dinner there (attended a party elsewhere), but wish we had! Breakfast was excellent, served by a lovely lady, who was very friendly, & after I enquired, told us the history of the house. Would certainly stay again!!

We wanted to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful. From the very friendly and kind, member of staff at reception, ( I apologise if you were a manager ) who even though we were an hour early for booking in, and we said we would have a coffee first, ran upstairs to check out room was ready. Thank you. We loved afternoon tea, beautiful food, coffee, atmosphere and service from the young waiter. Thank you, you made our visit amazing. Our room was beautiful and spacious, soooo comfy, the bed was the best I had slept in and chilled out on. Sooooo peaceful. The rainfall shower was the best shower I have ever had, I love a rainfall shower and this had the pressure and range of temperatures too. Sooo refreshed from that shower. The breakfast and service was as good too. Thank you for a memorable experience, we will be back again. Beautiful scenery around too.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, and great clean bedroom with en-suite. Staff we met at reception and at breakfast were amazing. The breakfast itself was superb too. Bed, though, could have been more comfortable and TV better placed. Overall though a really great place to stay and highly recommended.

I really wish we were told beforehand that there was a Wedding on the night of our stay. Although it did not disturb us too much, it would have been nice to have been forewarned, to give us the choice of staying or not. Otherwise was lovely apart from the waiting staff forgetting my brown toast at Breakfast

I recently stayed at Caistor Hall Hotel, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. First, the so-called “deluxe” room we were assigned was anything but deluxe. The room was dusty, fixtures were falling off the walls, and the bed creaked loudly with even the slightest movement. The walls were marked, giving the entire space a feeling of neglect. After raising these concerns with the staff, we were offered an upgrade to their “best” room, the Dashwood Suite. While this room was in better condition, it still failed to meet the standard one would expect, particularly given the price and expectations associated with staying at this hotel. On top of the room issues, the service was just as poor. When we requested assistance with booking a taxi, we were told to handle it ourselves because the staff were “too busy.” Later, it was explained to us that this is a policy, but it was never communicated to us during our stay, adding to the frustration. Although some of the staff tried to address our concerns, the management’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. When I followed up via email, I was met with a defensive response that ignored many of the core issues, including the substandard room conditions and lack of communication. All in all, I would not recommend staying at Caistor Hall Hotel. The poor quality of both the facilities and the service, coupled with a lack of accountability from management, left us with a very negative

First impressions of this beautiful Georgian manor house were absolutely stunning. The exterior and extended grounds however have obviously been somewhat neglected over the last couple of years..but, oh my, on entering this grand place the interior, cleanliness and welcome made up for it! Opulent furnishings, luxurious decor and an incredibly calm ambience emulated throughout the building. The sweeping staircase took us to our room (which although looked out onto the roof of the bar) where we felt incredibly pampered. Little touches like the bottle of bath milk and top quality toiletries were fabulous. All communal areas were beyond beautiful, especially the incredibly relaxing 'Whisky Lounge'. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with both self service and waiter service. Everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were so very lovely and nothing too much trouble. We stayed for 2 nights and were greeted with a fresh bed and complete change of all towels after the first night! Lots to see and do in area around and only 2 miles from Norwich city centre. Beautiful place to stay, thoroughly recommend.

Lovely location, property and grounds. Room was nice although bathroom small. Stayed in room 5. Reception were very friendly and welcoming, same with breakfast staff. However, woken up at 6.30am by the laundry truck unloading through the main entrance right under my window. Not a great start to my day. Option to use another staff/service door would be better. Also hotel is run with a skeleton staff, horrendously short staffed at breakfast - one staff member working as host, waitress and cook. A second member of staff would help provide much better service. Heard my eggs benedict coming out of the microwave which isn't great. Safe to say the egg yolk was rock solid! Juice all from concentrate, granola was soft and overall selection poor. Pastries taken to table rather than being help yourself, resulted in lots of food waste on other tables. Much better breakfast at chain hotels which I usually prefer to avoid. Final point is my shower flooded almost instantly, and hadn't drained away by the time I came back from breakfast. Informed breakfast staff upon checkout (as she was also wearing the receptionist hat too!) So much potential to be a great property but being let down by poor management.

This is a fabulous dog-friendly hotel. We stayed 2 nights and met friends for a meal in the restaurant on one. The food in the restaurant was superb! Our room was beautiful and spacious. The staff were lovely and the grounds great for walking and relaxing. We also had the best hotel ironing board ever! It actually warranted its own picture! Who needs a full blown ironing board in a hotel? Now I want one of these at home!

I know that this hotel historical but was not looking it’s best as there were missing rain gutters and rotting frames to windows and doors which was shame but my room was a good standard albeit with a few resident spiders and webs! Breakfast cooked with local produce and presented well.

We had 4 nights at the hotel. It was very quiet due to an event the hotel was doing off site. Michelle met us and checked us in and then waited on us like royalty. She was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The grounds and public rooms are lovely and bedroom was large and comfortable.
