citizenM Tower of London

Booked two rooms for a night. Rooms were very functional, spotlessly clean and had all the useful amenities.

We did not have air conditioning for the time we were there - it was 34 outside!

Great location

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location, conveniently located close to subway stations and just a short walk away from the Tower of London. The rooms are extremely small; even the sink is outside of the bathroom! The bed is surrounded by walls and the window on three sides! So if you’re two people, one has to climb to their side of the bed! Our room wasn’t very clean. Multiple stains on the bed headboard, water stain on the ceiling and under the sink. There were other surfaces that were covered in dust! The ac doesn’t work properly so you can’t lower the temperature! During the night, the pipes made very loud rattling noises that woke us up, probably pressure issues. You have to request room cleaning on the ipads that only allowed “light cleaning” which included just emptying the bins and making the bed! Had to ask the staff for “deep cleaning” for the next day, which was never done! Very disappointing! Their breakfast does not include coffee! You have to pay extra! I don’t know how this is a 4 star hotel! Definitely does not have the quality or amenities/services of a 4 star hotel and is overpriced for what it offers! Will not return here!

CitizenM Hotel in London was everything it was advertised to be and more. The room was very modern, comfortable, and high tech and the breakfast was great! It is also close to major attractions, souvenir shops, and restaurants. That said, this is your place to stay when visiting London!

Amazing location, very tiny rooms The room width is actually the length of the bed that is 2 meters. Might be ik for 1 person, not recommended for 2

We paid for the Tower view. Well worth the extra money, the view is incredible. Rooms are clean. You can set the mood lightining using the iPad. There is no kettle in the room. There is no iron, but there is an Ironing room on each floor. Rooftop bar provides great views of the City. Staff were very friendly

Très bien situé à côté des attractions et au pied du métro. Propre, bien entretenu, grand hall où l’on peut s’asseoir et déguster notre café acheté à même l’endroit. Personnel accueillant et serviable. Plusieurs petites attentions qui font en sorte que l’on se sent particulièrement bien accueilli. Très bien! J’y retournerai les yeux fermés.

The elevators were a constant problem during the week of my stay. They are the lifeblood in a hotel!!! One day I had to walk up the stairs with the manager and another couple who were just checking in. 5 flights-ridiculous! I love the location and the brand but they need to do better-technology is great-when it works!!!!

Location Location Location! Just above Tower Hill tube station with views to Tower of London to die for. If you don't want to pay for a room with a view then visit the rooftop bar.

I really enjoyed my stay over the weekend at Citizen M, everything was as expected. and it is very centrally located in London by the Tower of London. The bed is super comfortable and I hope to go back again soon.

Super modern hotel with comfortable beds, quirky bar area and great breakfast.

As in the past, the location, staff help, and the facilities are the best. Overlooking the Tower of London is a great feature, The Tube is right next door, so travel is easy. The pubs, street vendors in the area add to the ambiance. A great place to stay.

Was there during one of the heat waves. Kept the blackout curtains down nearly the whole time. Air con in the room was pretty much nonexistent. It made sleeping challenging to say the least. When is London going to adapt to its actual climate. Heat waves happen every year now, multiple times. It’s time to invest in air con like your brethren across the pond.

Great? Would stay again

Awesome and unique lobby, amazing rooftop deck, and super delicious breakfast buffet! The room was small but high tech. But the location next to Tower of London and the tower hill tube stop was phenomenal!

I paid additional charges for a higher floor room, however was given a room on the 3rd floor.

We took a king-bed high-floor room, which was very nice, with a perfect view of the Tower of London. The room was what you’d expect from the Citizen M chain - white, bright, sleek, modern, everything controlled through a tablet. I’ve stayed at another one before so knew what to expect. The bed was super comfy, linens crisp, big fluffy towels, the mood lighting is fun. The downsides however are that the lights are operated through the tablet so you need 2 taps at least to get a light on to go to the loo in the middle of the night. There are also no glasses or cups - so nothing to put your toothbrush in or fill up for some water. Crucially, there are also not enough powerpoints (only 2 in the room for the 3-point UK plug) which does not fit in with the super-modern, tech-friendly vibe of the hotel and room. The lack of glasses is astounding given this would take up no space and would not make the place look cluttered. We sorely missed the kettle and free tea and coffee. If you’re here for more than one night and also sharing the room, these are the things you will miss that would make the stay far comfier and perhaps return. The shower/toilet room was fine but I think starting to look tired (hard to keep white floors pristine). On the whole, I love the concept of Citizen M but, after so many years in operation, maybe it’s time for a few tweaks (responding to the feedback of their guests perhaps?) to improve the entire experience and stay ahead of competitors.

Need better A/C systems to deal with heat waves.
