The location is very good. Close to the tube which will take you anywhere. The room was very small but to be expected. The reality is the bed was as hard as granite, only beaten by the pillows which were somehow made from reinforced concrete. When we asked for an extra pillow we were told the place was fully booked so no extra pillows were available. Same seemed true for decent towels. The toiletries were not replenished and as such we had to go to the nearby Tesco and buy our own. No big deal but why offer the product and not supply the service?? The bed linen was not changed during our 5 day stay, the room was incredibly hot with all heating turned off yet no remote for the air con was provided. We had to sleep with the windows open, however the police station is 75m down the road so you can imagine the amount of sirens during the night. The TV did not work and when advised the receptionist stated to check again the next day otherwise she would have to call a maintenance person. Couldn’t be bothered and neither could we to be honest. And no, we don’t go to London from Australia to watch TV but late at night when you get back to your room, it’s nice to relax with a bit of background noise. Also might have helped drown out the neighbours as the walls are paper thin. There are multiple hotels in the row, I’d suggest choosing one of those.

The hotel was okay a bit old but room was okay clean but nothing woow. Area is safe i can say . Just keep in mind if you have luggage you are going to lug it up the stairs its very annoying its an old house made into hotel.

Good location and a very reasonable price. Room was quite small but more than adequate for our needs. Biggest issue was possibly the worst shower I've ever had in a hotel - rubbish pressure and took about 5 minutes to warm up (and I'm being generous with the timing).

Nice place, very clean. Four flights of stairs though and very small. Nice neighborhood.

The location is very convenient, with easy access to both buses and the Tube. It’s a quiet and pleasant area with many great restaurants nearby. The price is also very affordable.

Tiny but clean room with a tiny bathroom on the top floor. This whole street has small, strangely named hotels in converted terraced buildings that were once private homes. It gives a strange vibe

As was planned I only spent one night at this property. The staff are very friendly. The room was clean but pretty small. The shower is extremely small. The pillows are not very comfortable. The neighbourhood is pretty busy and noise the whole day and night. I couldn’t sleep for more than two hours together because of the outside noise.

Shops near by very clean? Room on the small size but bey nice, 😊

clean rooms easy access to underground

Very friendly staff. Went above and beyond. We arrived at 8:00am to drop our bags, the room was ready so they let us check in. That was amazing having just done a trans Atlantic red eye

We stayed here while seeing a concert at the Apollo and it was the perfect location for that! Very reasonably priced for London, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we got a triple room with 3 single beds which are quite hard to come by so that was ideal! The only downside is the road it’s on is very busy with constant traffic even through the night so it’s a little on the noisy side, I’d pack ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the Hammersmith underground. As you walk out cross over and walk on the right side straight down Shepherds Bush Rd. Lillian was wonderful and very accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage and go sightseeing.The room was clean but a bit warm for me. We turned off the heat the next night but it was still extremely warm although we had cracked the window open. It might be nice for the hotel to consider getting a few fans for the vrooms especially as summer is approaching. There was coffee in the room but the milk was not refilled. The bathroom is clean and we did have fresh towels but no wash rags so make sure to pack one. We went to a great cafe a few steps down called The Green Cafe. Very nice place for coffee , breakfast or lunch. You will also get 10 percent off if you mention that you are staying at The Star. Also I was glad to find brown grainy bread available as most other places had only white or sourdough. Overall it’s a nice small hotel in a good location.

We were not offered breakfast. We bought our on breakfast. There was a limit on towels. No iron. There were very nice shops near by. Only seen staff one day
