Easy check-in, good varied menu, excellent food. Bedrooms desperately need some TLC. Towels & bed linen nice & clean. Booked a deluxe room (room 19) to find a big hole in the ceiling from a previous leak. Mentioned to landlord who loosely offered us another room but didn't follow through then joked with another guest that it was added character. Lee, the morning host is a lovely chap, quite knowledgeable about the mountains. The pub side of the Bridge Inn is great, bedrooms need updating.

Downstairs in the pub and restaurant i cannot fault it, the place is well maintained and clean. The bar is well stocked however it was very busy with only one staff working. Food was excellent and a great variety of choice. Breakfast was limited but the full English was brilliant. Upstairs really needs a refurbishment, the rooms are dated and tired, having said that it was clean and water/ coffee refreshed each morning.

The Bridge Inn is in an ideal location for Scafell Pike only 20 minutes away. The restaurant and bar have been done out very nicely and it has a warm and cosy feel. Our evening meal and breakfast were very good. However my room was very tired and needed some maintenance. The floor boards creek so you can hear people walking around in other rooms. But the bed was very soft and cosy. The lady on reception seemed under pressure and wasn't as welcoming as she should have been. But if you want accommodation in the middle of nowhere then the Bridge Inn is ideal.

The Bridge Inn has the potential to be really nice but its the small things that let it down, the curtains not secured properly, the peeling paint and mould in the bathroom, the food was ok but not great like an inn 5 minutes down the road. Everything was just ok, not great!

The Bridge Inn at Holmrook. Our room was really comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The whole of the Bridge Inn is dog friendly and welcoming to our pair of 4paws. The breakfast was brilliant. There's a really good selection to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection. We ate at the Bridge Inn every night because the food was excellent. The last time we ate food that good was when we ate at James Martin's restaurant. The menu had just the right amount of dishes to choose from and the helpings were spot on. We never met the chef but s/he gets 10/10. Last, but certainly not least the staff, everyone was welcoming and friendly. There is however one member of staff we would like to mention in particular. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name but she was wonderful. She was there first thing in the morning and last thing at night and always had a wonderful smile on her face and an eagerness to help wether on reception, behind the bar or serving meals. We would recommend a stay at the Bridge Inn to everyone. Well done to every member of staff there and thank you for making our stay so memorable. Thank you all.

The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. We ordered dinner and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Both were really good and served quickly. Dog friendly which was a huge bonus for us. The room was slightly small and the flooring was sloped but amenities within the room were good. The only slight issue was the bed being slightly slanted, possibly due to the sloped flooring, so I had a feeling of rolling out of the bed throughout the night which woke me up a few times.
