This was my first stay at The Mayfair Townhouse, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is excellent—tucked away on a quiet street in Mayfair, yet just a short walk to Regent Street, Bond Street, Green Park, and plenty of great restaurants and cafés. It made it easy to explore London on foot while still enjoying a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day. I was in London for work, so reliable Wi-Fi was important. The internet was fast and dependable throughout my stay, which isn't always the case at hotels and made working from my room effortless. There was one small hiccup when I arrived: the air conditioning in my room wasn't working properly. However, the staff handled it exceptionally well and moved me to another room immediately without any hassle. I really appreciated how quickly they resolved the issue. Another nice touch was the complimentary minibar stocked with snacks and drinks, which was a pleasant surprise after a day of meetings and sightseeing. Overall, the combination of an outstanding location, excellent service, reliable Wi-Fi, and thoughtful amenities made this a wonderful stay. I look forward to returning on my next trip to London.

I just finished my fourth or fifth stay at The Mayfair Townhouse, and at this point, it truly feels like my home away from home in London. I travel to London often for business and usually add a few extra days for leisure, so I have stayed at quite a few luxury hotels around the city over the years, including the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, The Londoner, and The BoTree. They are all very different hotels in different locations, but The Mayfair Townhouse has somehow become my absolute favorite. The rooms are on the smaller side, as many London hotel rooms are, but they are incredibly charming and thoughtfully designed. The bathrooms are particularly well laid out, the rooms are always impeccably clean, and the beds and sheets are genuinely some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Every single time I leave, I am annoyed with myself for forgetting to check the tag because I want to buy the sheets for my own home. What really makes the hotel special, though, is the staff. Everyone is warm, charming, helpful, and consistently lovely. The food is also excellent, and the entire hotel has a personality and sense of hospitality that keeps bringing me back. I truly cannot get enough of this place. For me, The Mayfair Townhouse is one of those rare hotels that manages to feel stylish and special while still feeling comfortable and familiar. I already look forward to my next stay.

We checked in and the bags taken to the room. It was a hot day and when we got to the room it was very warm. We turned the aircon on to discover it wasn’t working. We reported it immediately and were offered complimentary drink in the bar while an engineer investigated. Unfortunately it wasn’t fixable, and the hotel was fully booked so they were unable to move us to another room. As compensation they offered a 50%, and provided a fan. Although appreciated, it still left us with an uncomfortable nights sleeps on a hot night. We had chosen this hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary so was disappointed that it wasn’t the perfect night we had hoped for. The staff were helpful and did their best, but it just wasn’t expected for a premium hotel.

really quite an awful hotel for what they charge and being "5 stars" and on expedia for recommending this hotel. Initially faced a delay in checking in because of a systems issue. AC in many rooms was not working. My initial room didn't have working AC, so was offered another room, which also didn't have working AC. Was then shown 3 smaller rooms, the third of which had working AC, however this room had very low water pressure for the shower. All the meanwhile a really unhelpful manager / staff, Normally at any hotel, much less one this expensive, if there's an issue, the guest is offered a better room. Initially staff refused to compensate me for the room downgrade. Finally a different manager the next day moved me back a room in the class I had booked with working AC, and offered 50% off the first night's rate. However, the "king" rooms at this hotel are just two twin beds put together so actually is quite uncomfortable. Massive bait and switch. do not recommend this hotel at all

Amazing location, minutes away from Green Park station on foot, 10 minutes away from Soho, just overall 10/10 location. The room is small but clean. Only negative occurrence was one day when I tried to take a shower, the cold water all in a sudden cut out, and if it weren't for my cat-like reaction and agility, I would have gotten seriously burnt. I then called the front desk and they offered very little help, so I had to stand in the shower completely wet with shampoo in my hair for 15 or so minutes, until the water finally came back.

Unfortunately, the arrival experience did not reflect five stars standards. The receptionist who handled my check-in was surprisingly abrupt and indifferent when delivering the news that my room wasn't ready. Across the board, the front desk staff lacked the professional warmth and hospitality required to create a welcoming impression. Otherwise the bellmen were very helpful, the location is very convenient. Charming hotel in Mayfair.

Staff was friendly and very helpful! Room was nicely decorated and clean, and updated. AC was working and on full last during a summer heat wave! Location was the best, close to many restaurants, shops and parks. I wouldn’t stay elsewhere.

Nice hotel in good location. Rooms were on the smaller side, but that is probably the norm with old hotels in downtown London. It was warm during our stay and air conditioner did not cool room down enough to get comfortable. Staff said temps were set as low as they could go. Staff was Fabolous, very helpful. I would probably stay here again.

I have stayed at The Mayfair Townhouse twice before and this time has resulted in my decision to never stay at this hotel again. Upon arriving in my room I discovered it was hotter than the hallway (during a heatwave in London) so I went to speak to someone at the front desk. I was assumed an engineer would be up immediately as I was about to leave for a reservation. After a 30 minute wait with no engineer I left for my reservation and again notified the front desk staff of the issue and was told an engineer would come. Upon my return it was clear no one had come so again I returned to the front desk where I was told the manager had to deal with the issue and he was in a meeting. 40 minutes later the manager (Roger)came to my room which was 25 degrees at that point and confirmed the AC was not working. He checked another room to see if it was cooler and told me it had the same issue. It turns out this hotel’s air conditioning cannot keep up with a heatwave and rooms had been closed to help ensure the cooling worked in the open rooms. It did not work and never worked for the entirety of my two night stay. I was provided a fan and thankfully the window opened slightly. I asked for money back and received nothing but an offer for free breakfast, I left at 5am my second morning making free breakfast pointless. Weather events happen but repeatedly promising help and providing no solution or compensation is unacceptable. I will not return and cannot recommend anyone stay here.
