Very welcoming and friendly place to stay, staff were good, lodgings round the back of the pub are excellent, modern and clean with big rooms and comfy beds and on the whole the pub seems popular with locals.
Things of note - breakfasts were excellent where you chose what you like the night before and served beautifully and the evening meals good with fairly regular fair but especially the specials small blackboards are top notch and are a bit more than special so watch out for those. Compliments to the kitchen staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good food in the pub/restaurant on site. The breakfast area is separate from the pub area, which we thought was a nice touch. Room was a good size (it was the Stratton Suite). Water was great pressure in the shower. Just one small thing. The door at the top of the stairs needs some WD40!

I’ve stayed here many times as it’s so good. Rooms are spotless and very modern. There is great parking and the food in the bar / restaurant is always exceptional, it’s very reasonable and there are daily specials.
The staff are both friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble
