What Guests Say About Their Stay

The support from the front of house staff is 5 stars. There was a few minor issues that I experienced for my first ever visit to this hotel. 1. There was some hairs on the bed which I had to manually pick up one by one. So this means, the room may not have been cleaned correctly. 2. The coffee machine was not working, luckily I found the plug was not connected. If the room was checked prior guest arrival this could have been corrected. 3. The ensuite bathroom doesn't have a door to close, so when you have a shower you will inadvertently partially flood the floor. 4. There is wireless charging capability on pods integrated into the small desk side cabinets but these didn't work. 5. I didn't find any available sockets to plug my laptop in to work from. So I had to unplug the kettle and use that outlet. There should be at least a minimum of 1 plug socket on each side of the bed. 6. The shower room has a vanity mirror that is supposed to have an LED strip that is supposed to light up but this didn't work. 7. There is limited coffee options, 4 pods are supplied and this isn't alot for heavy coffee drinkers. It would also nice to have other options like mocha. Please note I am only highlighting small issues, I wouldn't say this affected my stay majorly, as it was only one day.

Wanted a night away over the bank holiday but not too far from home (Wales) so this was perfect. Booked the club package and for £70 it was exceptional value. Room was great, perfect for a short stay, had everything I needed. Dyson hair dryer, capsule coffee machine, reusable water bottle for the gym and a bag of jelly babies, marketing team excelled by renaming them ‘Village People’! Really good levels of service and good in room information via QR codes. Self check in was quick and efficient. Having use of the gym was a bonus. Towel and locker key provided. Gym very very well equipped, nice pool but mostly loved the steam room , sauna and ice bath. I didn’t eat or buy drinks (apart from Starbucks coffee in the morning) as huge M&S 5 min drive so bought food with me for an in room picnic! Would definitely book again especially for the price I paid

Didn’t realise the bathroom was going to be a glass wall! Obscured glass at the touch on a button for 2/3 the width, However a nice shiny gloss wall still giving the non user of the bathroom a view of bathroom user if they so wished to look. Additionally to this there was no sound barrier to the bathroom noises! Not ideal and certainly will mean I will not be going back!

A good night stay and great staff and breakfast just let down by the condition of the bedding ie the main duvet which had a significant rip in it, just a bit sloppy in terms of attention to general detail really.

Stayed in the Village a number of times but really don't like the glass partition between toilet and bedroom, gives little privacy when having a dump.

The hotel & gym/swimming pool the staff were rude & unhelpful. I’m not very tech mind & everything is done by scanning or using an ipad type thing . When there were staff around & I asked for help they tutted & sighed & said we can’t do it for you . All I wanted was help/advice on how to use it all. The hotel room was so small & the bathroom wasn’t even a separate space as such it was just a glass front across the end of the room turned into a shower/ toilet area . Very impersonal especially if you’re sharing with other people . Overall not a nice experience
