Atse Yohannes Hotel

This was a very nice hotel in the heart of Mekelle. From the front desk to the restaurant, the staff knows what they are doing and everyone was nice and very helpful. It’s not the newest hotel in Tigray, but it’s clean, comfortable, and safe. If you go during Timket make sure your room faces the street to see the procession. Had a wonderful experience.

The staff was fantastic, things were very clean. The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had, I slept well, no bugs very little noise for Mekella and Fana gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had in this world for 500 bir which is about what $3:23 USD. I had a massage almost every day. Excellent hotel.

We got upgraded to suite & got a nice balcony to the main street. Very good shuttle service.

They have a full functioning bathroom. The service in the restaurant is decent for the most part. To be honest we actually did not like it here. One day the skipped out room with the “daily housekeeping” because “we didn’t give our key back for housekeeping to enter”. That’s laughable to imply there’s only one key. The first night the TV wasn’t working so we called to have someone fix it. Called again since no one came. Each time they said someone would come but no one ever came so we dealt with in the morning. Sheets and towels don’t smell like they’ve been washed with soap. One night the shower was clogged and the water spilled into the main room. We had to keep calling for someone to clean it. The guy seemed very reluctant since he wasn’t maintenance but he cleaned it any way leaving the bathroom floor still wet. We had to move the bed since the water had travelled under it and it was not clean under the bed. There were bird feathers and grime. The guy decided to change the sheets for us which was nice sine it had not been done at all. We ordered food and 2 teas and the guy brought the bill before the food was served which was fine. I asked for a little milk to be added but he didn’t understand and offered a caramel macchiato. I said okay bit he charged us for the extra tea saying he couldn’t remove it and we had to pay for it. Lastly, they called at at 5:45 am saying wake up and hung up. We were sleeping and it was an unnecessary disruption. Wouldnt recommend.

Really nice spot with a really nice balcony Cafe over looking the circle. Clean, nice place and good value.

The rooms are very big, plus the bed in our room was comfortable, which, combined with a working hot shower, was an absolute godsend after spending three days in the Danakil.

I stayed for one night before going on a tour. The room was fine, bed was comfy and room was clean. Breakfast was ok, basic but adequate

Power went off regularly. Laundry service is slow, and they return the clothes wet. Staff is very slow in resolving problems with electricity and other areas.

Internet was down for all 3 days. We needed to request to turn on hot water to have it in our room. Housekeeping limited after 13h.

Spacious twin room. Comfortable beds but dirty sheets. Good bathroom and especially the shower (closed); above what you'll find in the rest of the country. The wifi didn't work in room. Acceptable breakfast. Good location. The very best of the city although the relationship quality price is rather expensive.

Location is perfect, right in front of yohannes museum. Walking distance to local market. Staff are very helpful. Airport shuttle service is available. But Wi-Fi doesn't work well in the room. You have to come to lobby for Wi-Fi.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Atse Yohannes hotel. The front desk was very helpful and provided a free airport shuttle, and the rooms have hot water, reasonably comfortable beds, and nice balconies. The only downside is that breakfast was rather disappointing. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how the hotel is quite modern and clean by small-town Ethiopian standards.

ロケーションも良く、サービスもまあまあだった。空港のピックアップ、送迎がちょっとうまくいかなかったが、まあしょうがないかな。 荷物も預けておけた。 道路側の部屋はちょっと車とかの騒音があるかな。

セキュリティもしっかりしてます。 お湯も出ますが、水をひねると、お湯が出たので、分かりにくい。 スタッフは、とても良い。Wi-Fi繋がります。
