Beautiful property. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The rooms itself are very cozy and comfortable. Beautiful location and highly recommend.

We only stayed here one night, but the family that runs this hotel seems lovely. The description says Dinner and Bar, but there was no dinner when we got there (we arrived at 8, maybe too late?). We didn’t need dinner, but want to make others aware. There are other restaurants and food trucks around the area. We did grab a couple of beers from the cooler to enjoy in our room. Close to 2 beautiful waterfalls! Gorgeous view. Very spacious room (with a separate little room for our daughter). Breakfast was great!

The property is pretty far from the main road, but we were glad that not far from it is a very scenic spot of Hraunfossar and Barnfoss. The room is nice, with an attic level for sofas and a table with skylight.

This was my favorite hotel during our time in Iceland. The setting is positively beautiful and serene. Our room had a loft, so our teenager had her own space. Nice breakfast as well. Not particularly close to anything, but perfect if you want peace and quiet.

We had a very nice stay overall. We arrived close to the cutoff checkin time of 11:00 pm and had called in advance that we might be late. The owner was very understanding and accommodating. One issue we had was when we tried to use the hot water in the room after we checked in, it wasn’t working both for the sink and the shower. We called the front desk about it and they said that we would have to wait until the next morning as the tank was out of hot water. Other than that, the room was clean. We had the room with the loft as there were 3 of us. The free breakfast included was a nice treat.

Overall excellent

We really enjoyed this place… we didn’t mind that it was a little bit out of our way because it was so cute. Staff was so nice. We stayed and five different places through our Iceland and this was our favorite out of the five. Very fair price compared to everywhere else we stayed… highly recommend it

Lovely.

The room was great, bed and en-suite downstairs, a sitting area upstairs, admittedly it's easy to bump your head on the ceiling going upstairs. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner, unfortunately we had already eaten as the menu, whilst limited, looked good. The breakfast was more than adequate, and better than some more expensive hotels, however I would have appreciated more fruit.

Wonderful! We loved our stay at Hotel A. Wonderful host, beautiful location, room was exactly as advertised. The breakfast buffet and view in the morning was fantastic. The family that runs the hotel is so lovely and could not have made us feel more welcome. Dinner was offered, but as we were still jetlagged, we opted for an early night but the options sounded wonderful. We will stay again and will recommend to others. Also, go to Hraunfossar/Barnafoss (10 min drive) it is worth the detour to see this spot.

Beautiful lounge/breakfast area overlooking hills. Clean rooms. Only wish were blackout blinds; the thick curtains allowed too much light in.

We actually cancelled on arrival because although the website offers dinner on arrival we were told it was unavailable, after driving all day and having poor eyesight for travelling at night we did not fell up to wanting to look for somethiong to eat miles away. Decide to cancel, we were not refunded not even 1 night of the two even though the manager was agreeable.

We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only.

Wonderful property in Iceland! Accommodations were well designed and outfitted. Wonderful service and tourist assistance. Delicious breakfast. Hope to visit property again. Beautiful location!

Room was nice. Good size. Hot water. Loft had a low ceiling, and the front door lock was a little frustrating. It auto locks, door is heavy, and the key chain is huge. Breakfast was typical for the other places we stayed around the region A bit hard to find in the dark. No real signage that we saw and it is 2 separate buildings that could be mistaken as a residence. Didn't spend a lot of time but we were hoping for more of a lounge / social area. Hoped for couches around a fire to curl up and read or have a drink but the fire wasn't lit, area closed at 10, and it was in the dining area. All in all it was a nice stay.

This was a beautiful property with a fantastic staff. The views were spectacular. The dinner option was delicious. The whole experience was great! I would stay here again.

This was our second time staying here, previous to this was in 2015. Located in a beautifully situated area, the owners have expanded the cabins with lofts and made some other beautiful upgrades, including in-floor heating. The young gentleman at the front was extremely kind and helpful, as well as the other gentleman who put together an amazing breakfast spread. We didn't get the opportunity to thank him for it, but hopefully he will see this review! Thank-you, Hotel A...we will be back again.
