POP! Hotel Timoho, Yogyakarta

I had a fairly long stay at the hotel, and unfortunately, there were several issues that affected my overall experience. The door hanger only has a “Do Not Disturb” option and does not provide a “Please Make Up My Room” option, so I had to contact the front desk whenever I wanted my room to be cleaned. I was also given a room where the toilet bidet nozzle was not working. I reported this to the hotel and asked for it to be checked, but there was no follow-up or repair during my stay. The bathroom exhaust fan was also not working, which caused the bathroom to remain damp and develop a musty smell. I reported this issue as well, but again, no solution or alternative was offered. Another disappointing experience was when I asked the front desk to store a drink in the refrigerator. This was not simply a personal preference; the drink was a souvenir that needed to be kept refrigerated to maintain its quality and shelf life. The front desk confirmed that they could store it, but it was ultimately not placed in the refrigerator. If the hotel was unable to accommodate the request, it would have been better to let us know from the beginning so we could find an alternative. The AC is centrally controlled and located quite far from the bed, making it difficult to adjust the temperature comfortably. What was most disappointing was not only the condition of some of the facilities but also the lack of follow-up after I had already reported these issues. I would have appreciated clearer communication, proper follow-up, and a solution or alternative whenever a request could not be accommodated.

The location is quite strategic, quiet, and comfortable.

Not recommended for the price. The location is also a bit hidden, and check-in times aren't flexible, even though I requested early check-in through the app. But it's quite comfortable.

The room was clean and tidy, typical of Pop Hotels. The hot water ran smoothly, but there was no option for sleeping with a light. This bothered me, who's used to sleeping with minimal light.

Strategic location in the city center close to everywhere, all staff are friendly and informative, affordable prices, very good facilities.

The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly. The service is good. The food isn't bad.

Plus: Super friendly, responsive, and helpful staff 👍🏼 Minuses: Room size (quite small for prayer), bathroom exhaust fan not working, so it's always wet, faucet leaks when opened, AC without remote (temperature control is attached to the wall), location is a bit tucked away and quite far if you want to find food (we recommend using a delivery app), room is not soundproof.
