Lovely hotel, friendly reception, room was very clean. Only issue for us was that the aircon didn’t really get cold enough and with 4 people in the room it was a little hot. Otherwise, all good.

When we checked in, we asked about getting taxi to the cruise for the next day, the receptionist doesn’t have a clue of MSC cruise. The place is convenient, lots of restaurants, maestre station is close . Nice stay for a night .

The hotel was good. I did not expect much from 3star hotel. The hotel is exactly what you would expect from 3 star. However, there were quite a bit of bugs(this includes mosquitoes). There is coin laundry beside the hotel which seems convenient.

We stayed one night. But from there we walked to a Main Street to find a few places to dine. Train station and buses available were easy to find one block away from Hotel Roberta. We also enjoyed a good breakfast selection included in the room fee.

The room was overall clean and checkin and checkout were easy. Staff was nice and spoke enough English to assist us which was appreciated as our italian isn't quite as good as it could be. My issues stem with the comfort, smell and overall area. Upon emtering the room, we were hit with the immediate stench of cigarettes. It was overwhelmingly bad. At first we thought it was coming from the street below, but soon realized it was in the headboard and furniture. We considered saying something to staff, but after 17 hours of travel and a language barrier, we decided not to. We did some remedies of our own to mitigate the smell and were able to dull it enough to get by. That leads me to issue # 2. The beds are extremely firm and uncomfortable. They also arent particularly spacious but we understood this going in as Europe is less spacious in general with accomodations compared to the USA. Sleep was difficult due to the discomfort in the beds, but again, we got by. My final issue is the location, though this was the lowest of my concerns. The area overall felt a bit unsafe. The hotel presents itself fairly well, but stands out in what appeared to be a rougher part of town. We heard neighbors screaming at each other, and found the area in relative disrepair. This isn't the hotel's fault by any means, but is something to consider. The hotel is fairly close to the train station (6 or so minute walk) which is why we assumed it would be a nice area.

The location was as expected, the room was small, as expected. There was ok storage and the bathroom was well equpped, new- looking and clean. The room was too hot but the air-con was effective. The problem was the bed. It was too firm and had only one "pillow" which felt like a flat block of foam. I found it impossible to get comfortable in any position, or to sleep.
