My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Umbra. We had 2 rooms - a double and a room for 3 and both rooms were incredibly clean with beautiful views. The staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. This property is a perfect location if you are visiting Assisi - it is right off of the main piazza with various restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this beautiful city.

This was our third time in Assisi, and our first time at the Hotel Umbra. We loved its central location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the delicious breakfast they offer. If there was a downside, the spacious room didn’t have much of a view … but what does that matter? We spent all of our time wandering the city. We’ll certainly stay there again.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Umbra. The gentleman behind the desk was amazing. He suggested several places to eat that we enjoyed. The night before our departure he assisted us with booking a taxi for the ride to the train station. If you are planning visiting Assisi stay at Hotel Umbra.

A wonderful property with an unbeatable location right in the city center of Assisi. Parking in the Majora lot convenient, has some escalators to help with the climb up to the city with luggage. Property was completely charming, rooms very comfortable and has many outdoor spaces including a lovely rooftop with a great view for relaxing. Staff kind and helpful. Breakfast was great and included with the room.

Staff was fabulous and spoke perfect English. They made reservations for us and called a taxi as we left. The location perfect for everything in Assisi, and the breakfast was sumptuous and well run.

Everything was just right for me, from the room with a view, to the breakfast buffet, to the friendly and helpful personnel. I enjoyed my stay very much and would consider returning to the property on my next trip to Assisi. It is also very nice that the property is very close to the Piazza Comune, the center of town, and close to many of the important churches in Assisi as well as to good restaurants within walking distance.

Booked a superior room for two nights expecting a window with a view and beautiful furnishings according to the website and advertised photos, but on arrival we were given a room that was very dated and didn't match the advertised room. When we asked for a different room, we were told the hotel was booked full. However, they promised to move us to a new room for the second night when a large party checked out. The new room was exactly as the pictures described and had a beautiful view of the Basilica of St Chiara. The staff was very kind and worked hard to make us happy, but refused the option of a refund even though we did not want to pay "superior prices" for a room that did not match the superior booking. However, our second room was very nice, the breakfast was good, great location, and the staff was very attentive. I would stay there again if I could be guaranteed the room I booked!
