This was a good choice for a quick night in Rome. Room was clean and location was close to the train station as well as walkable tourist attractions. Front desk is only manned until 5:00pm but instructions were very clear on how to access room.

Not having any control of the HVAC unit, was a major issue that couldn’t, or wouldn’t, be fixed. When we arrived, the room was very hot. The staff said that they could not switch to cooling mode until “winter was over” (this was at the end of March). Fortunately most of the days were cloudy so radiant heat from the sunshine didn’t heat up our room. But don’t tell that you can’t control the HVAC unit when I know that you can. Don’t let the customer adapt to your business practices, accommodate them as much as possible.

First trip to Europe, and this is our first hotel during this vacation! Could not have been happier with our visit. After reading reviews for so many hotels, we selected this one because of the service, elevator, air conditioning, and front desk that would hold our luggage before and after our stay. It did NOT disappoint. Marco was personable beyond anything else we experienced in Rome! The hotel was quaint and quiet. The breakfast was far more than expected. The location was good for walking to several spots of interest.

This place was exactly what we needed for only being in Rome for one night. Was walkable to shopping/ eating/ tourist attractions. The host was helpful for setting up the taxi to the airport. Check in was easy and they even let us check in about 30 minutes earlier than they allow as a room was ready. The place was clean and had everything we needed.

The Viminale exceeded our expectations. While we realize it does not have a five star rating, we came in with reasonable expectations and found that it was clean, well taken care of and the staff were amazing especially Marco who was the front desk clerk for most of our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and made the experience enjoyable. Good proximity to the sites in Rome needs. Very solid three star met our needs don’t expect it to be exceptional except for the staff.
