Hakone Yutowa

Nice hotel with comfy rooms. Good breakfast. Dinner is expensive if not included in the room rate and there are limited options in the town. Communal area with snack and drinks was a pleasant surprise.

I booked including breakfast and dinner. Surprised the dinner including free flow drink(alcohol included)! Food it self also very nice. Room was little Japanese style. Totally strongly recommend!!

Location was great for exploring Gora. Approx halfway between gora station and open air museum. 5min walk. Breakfast was pretty good, mostly eastern - only a few western options. Dinner was really great for included meal. Mostly eastern options. Recommend using cable car to get up hill and then walk down the hill again. Only issues were the room was warm and couldnt lower air con below 22 and beds were very hard.

Nice hotel close to Gora Station. We got a room in the condo wing and it was very spacious with a great view. Easy walk to a couple of main sites in the area, such as the Open Air Museum. Staff was also nice. Breakfast buffet was really good, too. Only complaint was the breakfast buffet room was cramped, so navigating through the food tables/areas with your tray and all the people was not fun.

It was beautiful it had a lot of places to visit. The hotel itself was traditional modern, had a private spring water and you can have your traditional outfit.

This hotel is close to the Gora station

At the end of a two-week trip to Japan, Hakone Yutowa was a true highlight. We booked one of the condominium suites, which was large even by American hotel standards. The room had its own mineral hot spring bath that faced east and captured a gorgeous sunrise, as well as a spacious sitting room and comfortable beds. The hotel staff were gracious and accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags with them for a few hours after we had checked out. The meals were good, served buffet style; we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Yukata are provided for guests to wear at meals and around the hotel grounds. The public bath was also fantastic. In the men’s bath, there were two pools, one slightly cooler than the other, as well as a sauna. Although we were not traveling with children, it’s clear that they welcome families here. There are little nooks scattered throughout the property where you will find comic books, toys, places to read and relax, and complimentary snacks and beverages. All in all, it was a really relaxing place to stay. We used the Hakone Free Pass to see the sights, and we definitely recommend the Open-Air Museum, which is one of a kind and features an incredible collection of sculptures by artists from all over the world.

Nice quiet place to relax with wonderful amenities. The room is spacious and clean. And the hotel is a very short drive to the closest town or a short walk to the closest train station.

Spacious studio room, very modern, the onsen is great, has relaxing courtyard and breakfast is exquisite.

I enjoyed the stay like never before!
