Strategic location (very near to Umekoji-Kyotonishi station which is only 1 stop from Kyoto station). Another facility is the direct link loop bus (Emion Kyoto-Kyoto Station/the Thousand Kyoto) which stops at this hotel and the ticket for this bus is only 100 yen with the discount coupon from the hotel. The room is also spacious, and the toilet and the shower room are separated.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was modern and clean. The AC went out for a bit but started working, the wifi was spotty in the room. We purchased the breakfast, most Japanese food, little Western choices, coffee was strong 👍. Rooms were spacious, beds soft, pillows hard. Rooms were clean. Had shopping and restaurants on 2nd floor. Had a ramp to the metro station. Hotel was central to many attractions. Would stay there again!

The hotel and the staff are great. Being connected to train station is ultra convenient. The only negative was the washer/dryer combo. Does not fully dry clothes. I work in laundry so I know exactly how much should into a washer/dryer to make it work properly. Other than they beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, and great location.

The hotel, in fairness, is very close to a subway station and it is maintained well. All the restaurants and shops are way too overpriced. They have a public bath but does not permit any guests with tattoos. I fully prepaid for the room upon making reservations via Expedia. Upon check in at the hotel on June 18th, the reception staff member told me there would be a city tax thst is extra for 1,000 yen each person. There were 4 of us (guests) so it would be 4,000 yen. She told me it would be cash and so I paid it fully to her 4,000 at check in. After leaving Kyoto, I was checking my credit card statement online and realized that there was a charge for 4,000 yen on my credit card from the hotel and so I emailed the hotel (Emion) right away and also called them from another city (Osaka) in Japan. I spoke with somebody at the hotel and asked about the charge on my credit card. The person on the phone said it was for city or accommodation tax. I explained to him that I already paid it in cash upon check in at the hotel. It was quite difficult to have a conversation with him because of the language barrier. He asked me to come back to the hotel and I was flabbergasted with that suggestion. I was already in another city and even if I was still in Kyoto, why would therr be a suggestion for somebody to actually come into the hotel on person to look into such matter? It was such an incredibly insensible request. I told him to review the cameras at front desk for proof.

Very nice hotel located close to the train station with several shops and restaurants inside the building. The hotel connects to the train station through a pedestrian bridge which is very convenient. Transaction locally (within Kyoto) is via bus (typical for Kyoto) or Uber/Taxi.
