Great location less than 5mins from bus stops on main route through the city. Comfortable rooms, communal bath great after a day sightseeing. The breakfast and happy hour, complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice addition.

I love this hotel! They offer complementary snacks and drinks throughout a day and happy hours for wine and Champagne and rice soup as night snack 8-10 pm. I also loved their breakfast, with fee but worth it. The hotel has a hot spring bath, I loved it.

The room itself was comfortable, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. The biggest disappointment was the staff in the communal lounge area. Kicking out guests during published available hours. On multiple occasions they came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, often giving dismissive looks and making us feel uncomfortable. While I can’t speak to their intentions, the interactions consistently left a poor impression. At $100/night at 3 nights it got old quick. Staff at front desk were nice. The front desk staff spoke very little English. This wasn’t a major problem if you know some basic Japanese, but travelers who don’t may have difficulty communicating. The amenities were much more basic than those offered by lower priced hotels we stayed at during our 3mo trip. The laundry facilities were particularly frustrating. It cost ¥600, but after approximately 90 minutes my laundry, a pair of cotton pants, a lightweight poly-blend undershirt, and a pair of boxers, was still not dry. That was a significant waste of both time and money. The shower also would not stay in position, making it inconvenient to use. AC would turn off in the middle of the night and room would heat up quick on the summer heat. TV options were limited for local programming. No option to airplay or use streaming / digital apps. Overall, the room was comfortable, but the service, amenities, and poorly performing laundry facilities would make me choose a different hotel next time.

Rooms and overall property very clean. Complimentary wine (red & white), champagne, juices, and appetizers offered between 5:00 - 7:00 pm is a bonus. Will definitely try other Intergate Hotels around Japan.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à cet hôtel. Les chambres sont d'une bonne grandeur et l'ambiance chaleureuse. Très bel hôtel! Bien située. Très bon déjeuner avec divers choix. Différentes gratuitées sont offertes au restaurant selon les heures (smoothies, bar, soupe Le soir). Le bain public est un peu petit, mais peu achalandé et très beau. Le seul problème rencontré est au niveau du lave-linge : il n'y en a que deux pour tout l'hôtel, ce qui est très peu. La fonction sèche-linge ne fonctionne pas. Ça ne fait que chauffer le linge (qui était brûlant à la sortie) et le tout reste humide même après une heure de séchage. Alors n'hésitez pas à réserver cet hôtel je vous le recommande vivement! (et planifier faire votre lavage ailleurs) :)

Central location in Kanazawa for easy access (via bus) to most places you want to see. Recommend taxi for visiting the garden (Kenrokuen) and Castle (note, castle is reconstructed, so it is up to you if you want to see it). Hotel room was about average size and nicely laid out.

Although the Hotel Intergate Kanazawa is in a busy part of town, the hotel itself is located in a quiet alley off the main drag. We found check in to be somewhat rushed and impersonal, as we were ushered immediately to a kiosk where it was required we check in electronically. Staff here seemed harried and did not offer the personal touch and care we received at our hotel in Tokyo. That being said, the hotel offers an incredible number of complimentary, excellent quality food and drink throughout the day. Perhaps this is the reason there were so many Western tourists staying here, some who seemed to take "advantage" of the free stuff. Perhaps that grasping attitude is the reason staff seemed a bit impatient with tourists. Our room, which was a superior twin, was large and well-appointed. We loved the separate toilet/shower rooms, and the sink outside those spaces. The "onsen" on the second floor is a great amenity! Overall, we loved our three -night stay here, but wished the staff had been more accommodating. Kanazawa is lovely, but we found it overrun with tourists when we visited around the third week in April (past sakura time). As with any popular tourist destination, one can find wonderful hidden gems that tourists don't know about. Look for those!

Breakfast menu okay but didn't start until 7am which is not great when you have tours booked at 8 or have hungry people who wake early. Room very noisy with rain even in an upper floor in a upgraded room. Noisy enough to wake us up with downpipes poorly positioned.
