Hotel INTERGATE KANAZAWA

Central location in Kanazawa for easy access (via bus) to most places you want to see. Recommend taxi for visiting the garden (Kenrokuen) and Castle (note, castle is reconstructed, so it is up to you if you want to see it). Hotel room was about average size and nicely laid out.

Very modern and well thought out hotel. The best so far in Japan.

Although the Hotel Intergate Kanazawa is in a busy part of town, the hotel itself is located in a quiet alley off the main drag. We found check in to be somewhat rushed and impersonal, as we were ushered immediately to a kiosk where it was required we check in electronically. Staff here seemed harried and did not offer the personal touch and care we received at our hotel in Tokyo. That being said, the hotel offers an incredible number of complimentary, excellent quality food and drink throughout the day. Perhaps this is the reason there were so many Western tourists staying here, some who seemed to take "advantage" of the free stuff. Perhaps that grasping attitude is the reason staff seemed a bit impatient with tourists. Our room, which was a superior twin, was large and well-appointed. We loved the separate toilet/shower rooms, and the sink outside those spaces. The "onsen" on the second floor is a great amenity! Overall, we loved our three -night stay here, but wished the staff had been more accommodating. Kanazawa is lovely, but we found it overrun with tourists when we visited around the third week in April (past sakura time). As with any popular tourist destination, one can find wonderful hidden gems that tourists don't know about. Look for those!

Breakfast menu okay but didn't start until 7am which is not great when you have tours booked at 8 or have hungry people who wake early. Room very noisy with rain even in an upper floor in a upgraded room. Noisy enough to wake us up with downpipes poorly positioned.

The hotel room was clean, and the on-site onsen was a lovely bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I truly appreciated all their assistance. It’s a shame I only stayed one night, but I will definitely come back when I visit Kanazawa again.

Great array of western foods for breakfast; Free happy hour (5-7pm) - red, white and sparking wine + snacks; central location for walking or buses to all major tourist attractions; Room small but very functional and clean. Safe and washing machines.

The room was very comfortable, and had adequate space, though one bed was pushed against the wall. Lots of helpful amenities. There were various refreshments in the lounge through out the day, which was nice. The onsen is small, but fully equipped. My only complaint was that there was a very bright light on a motion sensor in the entryway, and there was no way to turn it off. If you got up in the night to use the sink or toilet it came on blinding you (and anyone else) in the room. We found a creative solution, but there should be a way to turn the motion sensor off.

Great hotel! We hired a car and there was a few options for parking. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel has public baths and evening supper for guests. Great base for Kanazawa.

The hotel was great and it was very easy to get around.

金沢兩大景點嘅中間。不過距離金沢站就比較遠。 房間寬敞，另外每天在不同時段提供小吃或紅白酒以及茶漬飯，很讚。

It is great! A comfortable, pleasant business hotel. The breakfast is excellent. The lounge is a great place to hang out. I love this hotel. Highly recommended.

Clean spacious rooms Great location

The only thing that lets this hotel down is having to check yourself in and out. It never feels as welcoming when you are expected to deal with a machine when you have staff standing at the desk doing nothing unless you need help. No thank you for staying with us - just a machine telling you you have checked out. Everything else was spot on and comfortable - the free daily snacks, drinks and rice dinner was appreciated. The champagne was particularly nice😀

Great hotel in central Kanazawa, I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see, including Omicho Market where I had lunch every day! Highly recommend!

Room was very clean and staff was very helpful. Nice lounge area that had snacks was a great surprise. Centrally located to all of the tourist areas.
