This hotel was really cool! Right next to the station but was very quiet! Also lived that you can lock your bags up/utilize a locker to store bags while waiting for check in so you can explore Nara worry free! Staff was very nice and the restaurant in the hotel was a great experience!!

This hotel is right beside Nara JR station. It is very clean
and convenience to go around. All hotel staffs are supper nice and helpful. The room is pretty big and full filled of accessory. We will definitely stay back.

Nikko Nara Hotel is most conveniently located, connected to Nara Station. Quaint Starbucks and Tourist Guide Centre next to station. Near to main road leading to town centre, with food streets, temples and past a small lake that eventually leads to Nara Deer Park. The hotel service is immaculate. Beautiful lobby which is well furnished. A small lounge next to the lobby provides hotel guests a place to have complimentary coffee cookies and drinks in the afternoons. The hotel rooms unfortunately are rather compact, in original condition and requires refurbishing. Since we sleep in the room and not in the hotel lobby, it would be ideal if Nikko Nara could invest in refurbishing the guest rooms, which would make it the perfect hotel to stay whenever we are back in Nara.

Very tiny room, 2 twin beds were together, 1 inch thick mattress-hurt my back. Super small bathroom. Not worth the money. Location was only good thing.

The hotel and facilities are not updated. No USB charger or international adapter in my room. I was using my own power bank to charge my mobile. Staff was helpful and polite if you have enquiries. The exhaust fan was not working in my bathroom. The mirror and everything were wet and sweaty. I did not notice that after I showered and it was late night, so I did not contact staff till I checked out.
Nothing wrong with their staff and service, but they definitely need to upgrade their hardware and get the rooms renovated. I was surprised when they handed me a silver key with key ring while checking in, but not a keycard.

Old fashioned hotel with easy access to JR station. Large room and fast check in and Checkout process. Neither the public bath (tiny and uncomfortable changing room), nor the breakfast (average food at a unsuiting banquet hall) met our expectation on new year's day. No VIP access perks were given.

At a prime location, right next to Nara Station, the property is extremely convenient, and well maintained. It however is very dated, telling from the room design (back decades ago) to the onsen facilities (very small in size, relative to the numbers of room of the property). It definitely requires an uplifting to match demands of travellers nowadays.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Nara, which is often. This time we stayed 4 different times and left the luggage with the hotel in between. The staff are all very kind and helpful. The room is a bit small, but comfortable, We like Public Bath, and love their breakfast with Nara foods. My husband is a Vegan, and he is able to find enough to eat at this hotel. It is very convenient next to JR Nara station and excellent super market next.

It was a 20-30 minute walk to Nara Park AND right next to the train station with many restaurants around. The room was spacious and had a quaint feel. Will definitely go back when Im back in Nara.

The service was great and the welcome lounge was a great. The front desk was helpful both during check in and check out. We also tried the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the variety of yummy food and drinks. Our bathroom had mold in it, on the walls, the light fixtures, the door. That was the only downfall for us.
