Shangri-La Ulaanbaatar

Great location. Excellent views. Rooms are spacious. Dining options are excellent. Staff is good but a bit cold in their ways (probably cultural). In my opinion, the best place to stay in Ulaan.

This is the best hotel in Mongolia. The breakfast buffet was excellent, we could have stayed there all day. The room was great, and the condition of the property was also very good. Hard to find in Mongolia. The high tea was so so - but inexpensive. Not much of an experience. The front desk staff was borderline rude - not to be expected in any hotel, much less a good one. The food in the restaurant was just ok. The room amenities were great.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and respected my vegan request.

Fraudulent place, false advertising on having a pool (they dont) or spa (also closed) or multilingual staff (no english speaking). Also had food poisoning and spent 2 days on hospital.

Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the view from the room. Furniture is a bit worn out but everything functions well. Though u need to walk a bit to the sports club, the equipment there is not disappointing. Overall is good.

It was a comfortable stay. The only issue we faced was slow delivery of room service.

The assistance service was good, fully operational at any time. Gym and swimming pool was available, easy access to the mall without having to go outside to cross the street. The city view was good. Some furniture need replacement (aging). Not enough channels on the cable TV. I didn't see any sanitizer at all, not in the room, not at the breakfast restaurant.

Excellent facilities. Includes access to top level gym that is a short walk away indoors through the property building. Room was clean and service was very good.

This is only true 5 star hotel in ulaanbaatar... great location. linked to shopping mall. Great chinese restaurant... You will need one after few days of Ger experience here.

Beautiful hotel, great staff. Centrally located it's a walking distance from the main square. There is mall with a few restaurants next to it so if you need to shop or have a traditional mongolian food then you can just walk to the mall. The breakfast was good too. Highly recommend it.

The room is nice and very comfortable. Furnitures not as tip top as other Shangri la hotels but definitely the best hotel in Ulaanbaator. Staffs are very friendly and approachable. Thumbs up!

Beautiful property, amazing staff Possibly the most helpful, accommodating staff we’ve EVER encountered. FedEx delivery on Monday failed, so numerous staff members made phone calls & kept up with tracking. When departing Mongolia on Wed. morning, the hotel driver took us to FedEx office, then to cargo area at ULN. He went above & beyond as translator & negotiator, helped get our package & got us to our flight on time. Well done! Property is beautifully maintained with lovely public spaces. Deluxe room with king bed was spacious with lots of drawer & closet space and bathroom counter space. Climate control was iffy. Laundry service was reasonably priced & good quality. Impressively prompt service when calling housekeeping for additional clothes hangers and maintenance for a minor issue with television. Speaking of TV, they have a good selection of channels. Housekeeping service was exemplary. Cafe Park breakfast buffet featured nice variety of western & Asian dishes; very attentive service. Nadaam restaurant had generous portions but service was quite poor. Bartenders, however, were attentive so subsequent visits were to bar area only. Their Chinese restaurant, Hutong, was a special treat! Delicious Peking duck & fantastic service. Great central location for walking to shopping and sights. Overall, a wonderful place to spend five days/four nights and the warmth & kindness of the front desk staff and driver makes this one of our best hotel experiences ever!

Love the fitness center..onsite Chinese restaurant was superb and the lounge on 21st floor was magnificent. The views from there was amazing. I would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Tatum Sharda. Whenever I needed special attention he was there. Thanks a million.
