ClinkNOORD - Hostel

I had a positive experience. Each room has its own bathroom and shower room which is great. Only complaint would be that the beds do not have any privacy screen

A pleasant surprise. Very liveable.

ClinkNOORD Hostel is absolutely beautiful. I stayed in a 4 bed female room with an ensuite. The beds were comfortable, we each had our own locker to keep our belongings safe (note bring your own lock). The best thing about the bathroom was the toilet and sink were in one room and the shower and sink in another. This was a brilliant idea. I rated the staff with 4 stars because of one person who I met on my arrival, I had taken an overnight flight from Canada. Arrived there at 12:44 pm wet from the short walk in the rain from Amsterdam Centraal and the female clerk told me that I can’t check in until 3 pm because I didn’t pay for an early check-in. She did not welcome me or say that I could wait in any of the common areas. At that time, I didn’t know that I could have waited in the common area. I didn’t feel welcome and did ask if there was a place I could put my suitcase. She gave me no eye contact and abruptly said I could put it in a locker out by the door. So I paid €4 to store my bags. Went back out into the rain feeling exhausted as I had a long flight and went into a venue close by called “This is Holland.” The staff there welcomed me and even though I didn’t buy a ticket to there interesting Holland experience told me that I was welcome to come in to dry off. I stayed there for 3 hours until 3 pm and then was checked in by a kind and welcoming male staff. Every one of the staff for my 3 nights were lovely. The facilities are fantastic. I will return!

Awesome location just a quick free ferry from Amsterdam central station

Pros: really cool, modern facility with many rooms to hang out in, including a bar/game area, open-space lobby which has sitting space, a café & a pool table, an additional open-space game room for people to chill in, and many bathrooms & shower rooms throughout the hostel — bike rentals — near convenience stores, restaurants & public transportation — lively — hosts games & various activities Cons: the cleanliness of the rooms & facilities are sub-par; I've seen mold in numerous showers near the ceiling due to little ventilation, no toilet paper refills, they don't provide you with much amenities — people are, and will be noisy past "curfew" due to the nature of a "party hostel" — no microwaves, usable kitchens or fridges which isn't great if you're trying not to spend an obscene amount of euros for food — the staff is nice, but sometimes during interactions I felt like I was bothering them with simple requests. Overall an average hostel, I enjoyed my time there and it's in a splendid location! However, I do believe there should be greater emphasis on helping solo travellers mingle and maybe not have children stay at the hostel if you're advertising yourselves as a "party hostel".

Smooth throughout, great atmosphere.

The North (Noord) side of Amsterdam is worth exploring. But you are also a 2 min walk from the free ferry that will bring you to Amsterdam Centraal and directly down town. Lively hostel. The rooms are VERY basic (hostel of course) and the bed was painfully uncomfortable.

Worst beds of all time. Like for how much we paid to be in a crappy hostel you’d think they could something even remotely comfortable that doesn’t ruin the entire next day with soreness.

Felt safe!

We had an amazing stay here. Our room was comfortable and clean. The food was good and well priced. Everything was super easy to get to. There is so much to do here and we loved our time at ClinkNoord - It was a great place to call home for three nights and we will be back. Thank you. Bonus that we were able to have an early check in and late check out for a small fee.

Too big, too many people!

One of the best hostals I’ve stayed in. Please check the drainage for the shower in room 152. The water kept running out of the shower, we had to keep placing towels on the floor. Other than that the place is wonderful and location is ideal.

Loved my time in the clink. Staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was great and affordable, and the common spaces were really fun. Totally recommend

The room was nice except for the part where the person in the bed parallel to mine had their light on all night. That was pretty bad.

It is a different Hostal concept and was my first time. The experience of sharing a room with 3 other people was better than expected. This is more for young people that ainam not. The location is across the Central Amsterdam in a short ferry trip from that station, almost all the tourist attraction are super close to it, the hostal amenities are awesome and I will recommend any one to do a bike riding around Down town area , there is a place called Bike is ready that have the best prices. Bring your own towel because the one the Hostal offer for a fee of €5 but are too small or go to Primark near by and buy a big one for about the same.

Absolutely loved clink, its a great place for tsolo travelers and familys alike. The place is bright and airy has great facilities from bathrooms, private rooms. Storage lockers, restaurant, coffee there is a shop round the corner. The Adam tower is right next to clink. They have plenty to do in the hostel too. Highly highly recommend

It was good. Gerry service across the River is reliable, the people are nice, and I would rank this is a high class hostel
