Two people on vacation, 3 nights. Stayed in the Suite, very roomy. Had everything we needed, coffee/tea, etc. Only comment is that this is an older hotel, and although well maintained, does have that old hotel character. So if you are looking at something more 'modern' then you may want to consider that. Location was also great, in the center of downtown AMS with easy access to trams, and walking to shops, 9 streets area, etc. Very safe area, and with grocery and drug stores a very short walk from the hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Great place to stay and very close to everything! The room was very clean and the welcome gift of stroopwaffles was a nice treat!

Our biggest problem was the room was so dark. Understand saving money, but the rooms should be bright, not like a dungeon. Excellent location.

Great location. Everything walkable, or a short trolly ride away. Really liked the bar downstairs. It's over 150 years old and feels steeped in history. Also the drinks were really good. :) The restaurant, Bullion, is just ok. It's always insanely busy, with a long wait if you dont have a reservation, and the food was just ok, and the service is rushed. You'll be two bites into your appetizer when theyre dropping off your entree on the crowded table. I believe the reason it's always so busy is because it's crazy cheap. Seriously, the prices were about half of what we were used to seeing at other restaurants.
