The Usual was perfectly located for walking around to all the sights. The lobby/lounge was a great space for enjoying a book, playing a game, or enjoying a drink.

My daughter and I stay for a week and their lounge area was amazing. After sightseeing all day we enjoyed playing cards and having drinks on the comfy couches and seats. Their menu was great and affordable. Good location with short walk to the train station and the market.

Arrived at the Usual for another few days as the family live very close by and this hotel is very convenient but the room was extremely cold. The outside temperature was 16 degrees and the air conditioning was on in my room and the fan was blowing out very cold air. Hardly the weather for air conditioning to be on. I spoke to reception and was told that the temperature was set the same for all the rooms and she would turn off the fan. However the room the next day the room was too cold. I am 83 years old and do not enjoy being in this temperature as it is not good for my health. As the Usual is where I choose to stay to be close to my family, sadly I will be using another hotel for my future visits. The Check In staff were very helpful and charming but the Bar staff were most unfriendly and not at all welcoming to your guests.

The jr suite room was nice for our family but a bit cramped. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Could use better curtains to block out the light especially in summer when the sun is up for a majority of the day. It was nice that there is a good cafe/coffee shop in the lobby but it is a mistake to have it as the entrance to the hotel. The only way to get to your room is through a very busy coffee shop. There is a very small hotel reception at the back of the coffee shop and it is not convenient when you are trying to navigate the coffee shop with your luggage. There should be a separate entrance to just the hotel rooms. The staff was nice but no one will assist with luggage or even open or hold a door. There is no vehicle pick up or drop off area in front of this hotel. Decent hotel for upscale backpackers or people traveling alone but not really great for families or people with real luggage. The location is excellent for walking the city.

Nice little hotel. I would say this place is ideal for 1-2 nights and no more as it is very cramped. Close to transit so that’s a plus!

All great for minimalists and those who likes privacy and no everyday room service. Clean, great service, good location. However, no tea/coffee/kettle/hairdryer/no everyday room service. Beddings, pillows were great, very comfortable.

The sitting area needs more lighting- too dark for us. There is no trash can in the room, we need to throw away the trash in the hallway every time when we need to throw away the trash. The fridge was way too small.

The hotel is in a good location for city attractions and shopping. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the mattress needs replacing. Very lumpy and uneven. Stayed 5 nights, room wasn't cleaned or made up once. Had to request a new toilet roll. Breakfast ok but not much choice.
