Great location, easy check in, rooms are clean neat. Bathroom is large and clean. Staff friendly and easy to get in and out. stairs are steep and narrow so if you are not fit and steady, getting up and down with a bag may be challenging. We didn't mind. Bar across the way is fun, a little loud at night but all part of the experience. Its in the heart of Amsterdam so it was a good part of the experience.

Great hotel all around. Amazing staff: Chuck and Teun were very friendly and helpful! Room was clean and had a small wine, with stroopwafel treats on each bed! There are 2 buildings, we checked in one and stayed in the other (across the street). After hours check in was a bit a challenge, someone staying at the hotel helped us in, and there were no key cards available (but Chuck came and helped us).

The property is very well located.
Unfortunately we got two rooms and we were sent to the top two floors with heavy baggage and no elevator. The hotel did not mention no elevators.
Also no air conditioning. For Americans that’s a must. We had to open the windows which allowed insects to come into the rooms. Noth families and n corn rooms had insect bites and my wife has had to visit a doctor to alleviate insect bites and infection.
We had a 3 night stay and we did not have lighting in our room for 2 of those nights.
Very rough stay. Only good thing was location. The hotel needs lots of work and upgrades

But fine. Great, great location. Hotel bar/cafe across the street. Only negative is the crazy steep staircase. Fine for young fit people, might be a Serious issue for older or physically challenged people. Same is true for a lot of Amsterdam

A great location for exploring Amsterdam,
close to shops, eateries and a short walk to various sites. We had an issue with our room the first night but were moved to a different room the following day and everything was good from then on. Friendly staff, we appreciated the hotel’s recommendations on places to eat and the complimentary drink at the bar!

The room was bigger than expected and nice. There was a Nespresso machine. Bathroom was good size. Everything was very clean. I loved the location, easy to walk to sights but not crowded. Felt peaceful and safe. Staff was very kind and helpful, including the Weber bar staff. Highly recommend.

Well located for museums and major sites within 20min walk. Tram stop nearby and plenty of restaurants.
Staff friendly and helpful and room clean, shower hot, bed comfortable.
Woodend floors so you can hear other guests walking on floor above, and also can hear talking - but muffled. Didn't find either of these an issue and the hotel does provide ear-plugs in room - but didn't use.
Only warning would be - as with all traditional buildings, no lift and tight steep stairs. Again, not an issue for us but would be difficult for people with knee/hip/ankle issues.

Pros: Great location, room size, nice decor, fridge, complementary drink, good exercise having to use stairs but not for everyone.
Cons: self check in not so smooth, no lift, a lot of stairs if at the top so would be difficult with luggage!, room could be cleaner but nothing major (bathroom blind very dusty/broken)

Cute space and great staff. Lots of stairs to take into consideration but very common for Amsterdam. Location is wonderful and close to transport. The free welcome drinks at the Cafe were great additions as well.
