Beautiful property and amazing breakfast selection but service was poor. Housekeeping might have just as well not done anything - minimal bed makin, did not even empty or clean used glasses/cups. Steam room did not work and staff said it had not worked in a "long time". AC in our room kept getting turned off in the sweltering heat - maintenance overnight was not helpful until next morning.

The property is in a fantastic location for exploring Lagos and the Algarve. The property need some refreshing. Staff 5 star. Roel, a senior customer relations Person, is exceptional. He dealt with all small issues and more than solved the problems. I highly recommend him to his superiors.

We rented a poolside view apartment for 5 nights, as did two other groups we were traveling with. Pros: pool areas are good, excellent for toddlers, large resort, covering large area, lots of free parking, access to cliffside trails was nice w/ good views, staff all friendly and competent, resort restaurants served tasty food. Cons: there appeared to be very little investment into the maintenance of the facilities. I mean everything...exteriors and interiors. For example, in our room the cold water valve under the sink was turned off because the faucet leaked badly when it was turned on. The refrigerator and freezer doors didn't shut and seal regularly because the cabinets and cabinet doors were all askew. All the wicker patio furniture was frayed and in rough shape. The one couch in the living room was missing all the backrest cushions. The latch/lock for the property gate to the trails was broken off, looked like it had been that way for a long time. The spa area was underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't call it a luxury resort and wouldn't feel it was worth the money if I'd paid more than a couple hundred dollars a night.

Lovely resort. Room was large and quiet. Excellent blackout curtains. Great water pressure and temperature. Breakfast was SO GOOD. No complaints. Loved the access to the trails along the water through the back of the property. Would definitely stay again.

Cascade Wellness Resort was a major disappointment and nowhere near what I would consider a true high-end resort experience. The property feels outdated and overpriced. Once there, you are essentially trapped paying extremely high prices for brunch and dinner, yet the food quality and portions were surprisingly low-end and underwhelming. The service only added to the frustration. Staff were generally did little improve the experience perhaps since you are forced to pay the gratuity despite the actual service provided. Even basic expectations were missed — including the lack of accessible coffee options, which is hard to believe for a resort positioning itself as luxury. Overall, the value simply does not match the pricing or branding. There is no way this should be considered a luxury resort experience.

Beautiful resort with incredible views and walking paths to explore the coastline. Highlights were the front desk staff & Roel. This team were so friendly and helpful to all guests. Thank you Roel! Lighthouse bar has great drinks, staff and menu options. Gastro Pub- great food! Spa pool- nice and quiet to relax after exploring this beautiful area.

We loved the facility. Well organised, clean good food and friendly staff. The price was also great. We enjoyed it.

The breakfast buffet is spectacular. Was there with my three kids couple of them piggy eaters and everyone found something that they love for breakfast!

An excellent hotel and very comfortable apartments. The big problem is that we booked because of the Spa facilities but the steam room and jacuzzi were both out of order throughout our stay. We were eventually told that we could use these at another hotel a few km away but that was not what we needed. Also, our apartment had a number of issues that were resolved quickly by the hotel.

I’ll start by saying it may just be our North American standard of a 5 star to be impeccable in all areas but this hotel was not that. The staff were 5 star amazing and accommodating and helpful but otherwise this hotel would fall in a 3 star rating. Our first apartment was disappointing in that the shower had a spraying leak, the tub wouldn’t plug to bath our son, the toilet had a crack/leak, the safe didn’t work, the espresso machine didn’t work, the laundry did not work, you could not shower at night if the apartment above had just showered (we waited 2 hours and still no hot water for our baby), and lastly the ants were everywhere.. we found them in our sons crib. The staff were very helpful and fixed what they could but ultimately they couldn’t fix it all and told us they would move us in 24 hours which then did &we really appreciated it. Our next apartment was significantly better but the tub water came out brown so we had to shower our son, and the drain had to be fixed, we did not have a safe in the room but they did bring one, our kitchen had different items/no pans to make stove top but by this point we felt we had asked for too much and the staff was trying their best! The furniture was extremely worn and had stains which is fine but just not something you would expect for 5 stars. The amenities were good but again worn out. The deck around the spa pool was falling apart &the steam room was out of order. More of a maintenanceissue than anything. Great location

Had an excellent stay, the hotel itself was fantastic, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and delivered truly great customer service throughout. The food was also amazing. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in! The location, facilities and staff were top notch. I would go back for sure!

Wonderful place to stay, proximate to some truly breathtaking beaches. The staff is incredibly accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the fixtures in the bathroom were a bit dated and worn.

Beautiful property with variety of accommodations.

Out of our 3 stays while in Portugal, this was our least favorite. The property is almost too big and they can't seem to keep up with the amount of work and reno needed to maintain a property of this size. It rained the 1st night we arrived and a water leak caused water to get into the electrical panel while we were sleeping and cut the power. When we woke in the morning and called the front desk they sent a technician and eneded up having to move us to another villa. The pics on the website make it look a lot nicer than it actually is. They also have no indoor pool or heated pool. They do allow kids to visit the spa pool from 8-10am but the pool guy is actually there at the same time, cleaning the pool and adding chemicals, which doesn't seem very safe!! And the "heated" pool wasn't even that warm. It was freezing! The food was mediocre at best. The burger was kind of mystery meat... The plus was the staff. They were all very nice and lovely. I wouldn't stay here again, though.
