Centrally located next to the palace and shopping. Although the roads in that part of town are narrow and difficult to navigate, the on-site parking and close in location made it a perfect stop after a long day of travel.
Would stay there again…maybe stay more than one night and explore Sintra more.

This is a wonderful property, and I would stay here again. It's very difficult to find, but once you do it's in a great location. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable.

This place was amazing, just tricky to get in and out due to the extreme narrow roads. Andrew, the concierge was AN ANGEL. I feel like he was the only one who truly cared about my experience and took great care of me after a long hard day. But the location is just incredible!! I’d absolutely stay there again.

This hotel is in a brilliant position for exploring Sintra. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are wonderful and the views from the hotel are stunning.
However, the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning. The management did not think it was necessary to actually switch the air conditioning on (this was in April). Therefore any fresh air intake was not available without heating an already too warm room. The consequence of this was that each morning the windows of our room had to be dried with towels (which we assume had contributed to the black mould around each of the windows in the room and sitting area). Of course during the day the windows could be opened but that was not possible at night.
I think that advertising for hotels should make it clear that the air conditioning is available only at the management's discretion

Perfect location.
The bed situation threw me off. It is two twin beds pushed together but not attached. They will separate and you will find yourself on the floor in the middle of the night. Be careful.
The rooms are beautiful and the shower was amazing.

I had a really good stay at NH Sintra Centro. The hotel is a bit outdated in terms of decor, but it’s very clean and well-maintained. We were warmly welcomed by the staff at the NH Centro Sintra, who were extremely helpful. We were delighted to be upgraded to a gorgeous Valley view room that had a balcony / terrace with beautiful views over Sintra including the Castelo dos Mouros and the Quinta da Regaleira. Breakfast was fantastic, my mum who is a very fussy eater, said it was the best hotel breakfast she had ever had. The service wasn’t OTT, but they were attentive. The restaurant had views across the valley and we even witnessed a rainbow!
We had a few drinks at the bar and the staff were wonderful. They didn’t have the wine I requested so the barman asked my preference and chose a gorgeous wine based on that.
The location of the hotel is second to none (although ignore the route on Google Maps as it takes you all around the houses and up very steep sets of stairs - not ideal with cases!) with the incredible views from the back and the front coming out into the historic square. Do not let the outside of the hotel put you off, the inside is beautifully decorated and the rooms are really well appointed.
We can’t wait to return!

The shower floor was very slippery, with no grab bars. I fell. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so was steamy after a shower. The soap and shampoo dispensers yielded very little when pushed. May have been clogged. Otherwise, very well appointed, clean and quiet.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and admiration for the incredible experience I had at your hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that NH Hotel Sintra is a true hidden gem, offering not only comfort and convenience but also one of the most breathtaking views I have ever encountered.
I booked a suite last-minute on Valentine’s Day, not realizing just how special my stay would be. To my surprise and delight, the suite featured a stunning 27-foot-long private balcony with panoramic views of the Moorish Castle, multiple other castles, and the entire town of Sintra. It was as if I had my own private lookout over this enchanting city. The rooftop terrace was equally impressive—so spacious that it could easily host a wedding or a grand celebration. And yet, we gad it all to ourselves, making for an unforgettable and peaceful retreat.
Beyond the views, everything about NH Hotel Sintra exceeded expectations. The location was unbeatable, just steps away from the National Palace, allowing for easy exploration of Sintra’s historic wonders. The staff was warm and welcoming, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. The suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and quiet, providing the perfect balance of relaxation and luxury.
I cannot recommend NH Hotel Sintra enough. It was not only an economical choice but an experience that felt priceless.

This hotel was fairly clean, beds and pillows were pretty comfortable. Easy to find and good location in the heart of the city. The breakfast was excellent as well.
Have to pay for parking, and they do not guarantee a parking spot either which was unfortunate.
The hotel lobby is really gorgeous, but the rooms are a little worn for a 4 star hotel. A couple things just broke or fell off, for example when I closed the door to the room, a plastic piece from the room card scanner fell off. Chipped paint and worn and torn flooring.
I would likely stay here again though.

Perfect experience here! The staff were professional and helpful. The room was fresh, modern, immaculate. Bedding was super comfy. Decor and lobby were modern and gracious. The breakfast was amazing.
And the location can't be beat. Right across from the palace with a view into town, close to every restaurant and sight.
I liked it so much we extended our stay. Definitely will be back!
