Hotel28 Myeongdong

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel28 Myeongdong. The staff were incredibly helpful from check-in through check-out and truly made our experience memorable. They were very accommodating when we requested a late check-out, allowed us to store our luggage with the concierge until our evening flight, and even called a taxi for us to Incheon Airport, which made our departure stress-free. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary cookies in the lobby. Housekeeping was available daily if desired, and whenever we requested extra towels, the staff responded quickly and cheerfully. The hotel was very well maintained and looked exactly like the photos on Expedia, which is always reassuring when booking. The only thing to keep in mind is the location. It’s right in the heart of Myeongdong, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. However, because it’s such a lively area, it can be noisy and crowded at times. If you’re a light sleeper or prefer a quieter neighborhood, that’s something to consider. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would happily recommend Hotel28 Myeongdong to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with exceptional service.

Staying at Hotel 28 was an amazing experience. The location couldn't be more central, right in the heart of Myeongdong and just a stone's throw from the vibrant night market, Line Friends, Olive Young, and countless shops, cafés, and restaurants. The hotel itself is a wonderful tribute to the world of cinema, and it's the little touches throughout that make it so special. The attention to detail, with references to classic films is a real delight and gives the hotel a unique character. The rooms are beautifully designed and perfect for couples, offering everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Although the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, the many other positives more than make up for this minor omission. What really sets Hotel 28 apart, however, is the staff. They are warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, and the level of service is exceptional from start to finish. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Hotel 28 to anyone looking for a stylish, perfectly located hotel in the heart of Seoul.

Very clean and spacious and convenient to a lot of attractions, restaurants and shopping. There are night street stalls nearby.

Excellent location. Close to everything you need. Even though you are surrounded by the shopping and dining area, you do not hear the noise in your room. Room was spotless and a very good size. Staff was very helpful and even made sure I got a taxi to my next destination. I would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient location, near to shopping olive young, restaurant, train station and night market. Vibrant area. Will definitely stay this hotel again when back. Down side is the sound proof is not great.

Loved how centrally located this hotel was in Myeongdong. Very quiet despite its location on a busy street. Staff was so nice and helpful all the time and room was clean. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel, I will definitely be back!

We returned to Hotel28 Myeongdong in June for our fourth consecutive year — it truly feels like our second home whenever we visit Seoul. From the moment we step inside, the ground-floor team makes us feel warmly welcomed. Sanghoon Lee, the security officer, greeted us cheerfully every morning and was always quick to help us catch a taxi. Nicole was equally efficient with transportation, and Mathias kindly ensured the elevator was ready for us — a thoughtful gesture we especially appreciated when carrying heavy bags. The exceptional service continues upstairs at reception. Amanda, Patrick, Sia, Jinny, and May consistently greet guests with bright smiles and go out of their way to assist. Whether we needed directions, efficient travel advice, or help planning our days around Seoul, they were always ready and genuinely caring. Amanda, with her bright smile and sweet personality that instantly lifts your spirits, even helped us book haircut appointments at Juno Hair, just around the corner from the hotel. Patrick also went above and beyond by helping us extend our stay for an extra day because we were enjoying it so much. The location is unbeatable. Just steps from the vibrant Myeongdong shopping street and surrounded by excellent restaurants, the hotel is only a short walk from the subway station. We will definitely return next year!

Good location. Friendly people. Love the amenities they supplied everyday.

The location is the best. It's the center of the tourist area. The hotel is well maintained and the service is good. Will strong recommend it if the first time to Seoul

Well planned and spacious rooms, great location , a skin clinic , cafe and a restaurant in the same building.

Loved my week+ stay at this well-managed jewel. It became a running joke with the front desk because I kept extending my stay. The rooms are modern, clean and super comfortable. (The window contractor deserves a special prize for making it possible to sleep in silence while the night market below is abuzz.) Free minibars, restocked every day, are always fun. The most memorable aspect, however, is the kind and caring staff- each and every one of them (but we especially connected with Amanda and Lucas). Even the laundry room is great. Highly recommended!

Breakfast needs serious improvement but I’m wondering if it’s because is 3 star hotel so can’t expect much more

I don’t think you can find a better location in Myeongdong! Stayed here for 3 nights and this boutique hotel met all expectations: clean modern rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good amenities, good restaurants, easy check in/out and safe. I’m quite tall (6’4”) but the room was spacious. While the king bed was firmer than I like, it was still comfortable. On arrival, I was worried about noise because my room faced a busy street (and I’m a light sleeper), but it wasn’t a problem — the room was relatively quiet. I would definitely come back.

The room was clean but some of the towels had holes. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise. The gym sucks. It’s so small on needs an update. The breakfast was pretty good but my pancakes were raw inside one day. Overall, I loved the location of the hotel. It’s central and everything is walking distance. Loved that you get discounts at shops on the street if you’re a guest.
