Orakai Daehakro Hotel, BW Signature Collection (Best Western Hotels & Resorts)

The hotel is well run and staff are very helpful. Our room was comfortable and met all needs. The hotel has the best gym I’ve ever seen at a hotel, it is as good as any professional gym you’d find and pay high rates for when away from home, provided free as part of the stay. Breakfasts at the dining room were excellent. The only negative is that the hotel promised a sauna and spa area which looks excellent in their publicity, but was in fact closed for the entirety of our two week stay.

Our first room has a dysfunctional shower where water was leaking into the toilet area. The staff then moved us to a room that had gnats in the shower and asked us if we’d like them to spray something ti get rid of them. We asked for a different room, so we were downgraded to a smaller room with a lower floor and worse view. When asked if there was a price difference for the downgrade, the staff stated the size difference wasn’t significant enough for a price change. We got the economy room which means they only clean our room on specific days. On the days they did clean,it was subpar. Instead of refilling our shampoo and conditioner bottles, they placed extra bottles (I’ve never seen a hotel do this before) so we had a total of 5 bottles of product in our shower. My blanket also had short straight hairs all over it after it had been made by housekeeping which was odd because I have long, curly hair. The location is not great either because there is no subway entrance nearby. You have to walk at least 10 minutes. The only public transportation available is bus which is still a 5-6 minute walk which feels far if you’re visiting in the summer heat. Overall the experience was subpar and I would not stay here again.

Excellent hotel and staff. Very spacious room and good facilities. Close to bus stop and walking distance to Seoul Metro, historical sites and shopping centres.

The room is small but the location was great. The only other downside is that you cannot control the thermostat and it gets very hot and stuffy in the room. I also don’t easily get hot so I cannot imagine how it would be for those who have to crank up the AC.

The room was uncomfortably hot and stuffy, and I wasn’t able to adjust the temperature. I rarely feel too warm, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable it might be for others. The pillows were also not very comfortable.

The staff was very friendly and high-rise, so it was less noisy and clean. One thing I would like to see is a little longer 'Visitor Parking Time'.

Staffs are very friendly, and the property is clean and neat. Great location as well.

Excellent front desk attention, all of them. They make you feel welcomed, great restaurant recommendations near the hotel.

Very nice , modern property. Spacious rooms with good WiFi. The gym is great for a hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. For an extra charge you can get an early check in They have a water refill station and a convenience store next door. The bed is very comfy and you sleep well One small thing to consider their room service is limited, it’s not easy to order in. For diner You will need to take a cab or walk for an area with food, otherwise, the convenience store is a good substitute . But they are located near all the busy areas for dinner and during the day you have a lot of great places to eat and get a coffee

Great spacious room with friendly staff. Facilities were also nice with access to gym and coin laundry. It’s always nice to come back to a spacious room and decompress after being on your feet all day. Definitely consider a stay at Orakai!

Excellent hotel, I was pleased with the choice! The location is excellent, there are 2 palaces nearby!

Great facilities. Hotel has an attached Illy Cafe which was nice, especially on rainy days if you didn't want to step out. Gym was well equippped too and had eveything my wife and I would of wanted. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed and pillows and the black out curtains made well for extra sleep. A lot of outlets to charge multiple phones and devices like my wife and I had plus an included wireless charger they have installed themselves. Shower has two different heads especially the overhead rain option and always enjoy having a bidet that had english translation as well. Only downside was that the room had very little storage or closet space. Had I stayed longer than 4 nights, we probably would of had to use our luggage as that just because its Seoul and youre destined to go shopping. Very quiet and safe area as well with 24 hour convenience stores around and an Olive Young as well in case you forgot necessities. Staff all spoke good english and were extremely proficient in what they do. Would stay again!

Really nice modern hotel! Best gym with all new equipments, room was very nice and bed super comfortable. While I didn’t have the food, restaurant menu looked appealing - Malatang / Chinese style! Let down was the fact sauna / spa was under renovation. Had this been open this would be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Another let down was the Illy cafe onsite. I’ve had illy coffee in Australia before but this one in Seoul was a big let down. I had Americano but it tasted like cheap powdered and watered down coffee. Overall 5 star experience! I’d come back here next time esp if the sauna / spa is operational!

Enjoyed our stay at Orakai, staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we found out after we got to our room that they do not run AC in April. I sleep hot, so had to leave the windows opened at night. This was the first hotel I’ve stayed at that did not allow us to turn on the AC. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I were near where we wanted to be, nice walk to Inksedong, Insadong, and Bukchon. The restaurants close by close early on the weekend, so you need to go a little further for food. During the weekdays, restaurants stayed opened a little later.

The team were lovely and accomodating. The room was clean and close to all the areas that we wanted to sight see. Great location..
