Hospedium Hotel Los Lanceros

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) I recently stayed two nights at Hotel Los Lanceros in El Escorial, and while there are a few positives, this establishment falls far short of the 4-star standard it claims. The Positives: • The location is truly excellent. Just a short walk to the Monastery of San Lorenzo, restaurants, shops, and cafes. It is well-situated for anyone exploring the town. • The hotel staff were respectful, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. The Negatives: • This is not a 4-star hotel by international standards. At best, it would qualify as a 2-star property. • The building appears to have been last renovated in the early 1990s and has not been properly updated since. Everything from the elevators to the hallway carpeting, furniture, and doors shows clear signs of wear and aging. • I encountered serious issues with the air conditioning. My first room left me waking up drenched in sweat at 3:00 a.m. due to AC failure. I was told it would be fixed, but by the second night, it still had not been resolved. At midnight, I had to be moved to a second room. While the AC in the new room worked better, it was still centrally managed with a fixed minimum of 27°C, which is far too warm, especially in summer. • Even in public areas like the restaurant, air conditioning was insufficient, making breakfast and indoor stays uncomfortable in the summer heat. • The carpets throughout the hallways are worn, faded, and stained, with visible patches where repairs or replacem

This did not seem like a four star hotel, three would be a stretch. Rooms under the roof have limited space to stand up straight. The room cleaning crew knocked on our door at six p.m. to enter. Front desk staff were helpful and nice. Room was cozy but a little frayed around the edges and a little dark.

The hotel itself was okay but for a foreigner who's GPS system could not find it, the search was truly exasperating. There is only one lighted sign on the building that faces an obscure Park with no major roads going by. Obviously their clientele are all locals or at least Spaniards who speak the language. I would never recommend tourists from the US attempting to find this place if they do not speak Spanish. I speak Portuguese, French and English and we literally spent hours trying to find that hidden hotel after arriving in the city. And having been there once I would never try to find it again, especially after dark. On this trip we drove 3500 kms through France, Andorra, Spain and Portugal and driving conditions in Spanish urban traffic are the worst in Europe. The only reason we would ever return to Spain is the central location of the Madrid International Airport. Our goal would be to get out of Spain as soon as possible.

Very good Wifi, food and quiet place for your stay in San Lorenzo, definitely i will recomend it.

Great location but difficult to park. Hotel a little tired

The facilities here were fine, if a little jaded. The room was perfectly clean & tidy with excellent aircon. What this property lacks is friendly customer service both at reception and in the adjoining restaurant. Whilst it was certainly value fir money, I would look to choose another hotel should I ever return

Everything was very very good, except perhaps for the fact that we got two single beds pushed together instead of one double bed. This may have been due to the fact that we got a special deal on hotels.com though. Wifi worked very well, I was able to watch an nba game at 375 kbytes per second.

Todo bien aunque antiguo pero con solera

Lo mejor es que está muy cerca del Monasterio del Escorial. No tiene servicio de habitaciones. Más que de 4 estrellas es un 3 estrellas

Muy recomendable, Amaya nos trató de maravilla, volvería a alojarme en este hotel sin duda alguna
