This hotel is in the heart of Santa Cruz, within it’s little charming hallway of streets, walking distance to everything you might need or want. My room was basic, but it was what I needed. There was an issue with the shower, which was quickly resolved. The staff was so helpful, they even heated up a food item I brought from outside. I loved it and would stay here again.

More vegetables for breakfast buffet. Too audible through walls between the rooms. The person in the neighbouring room spoke on the phone for an hour in the middle of the night. I could hear the conversation; the noise kept me awake.

BE WARNED about the security of your room. Anyone can enter, it happened to us at 12:45 am when we were awoken by the rattling of our door, followed a few minutes later by a woman bursting into our room and screaming as she saw two strangers in what she thought was her bed. Extremely shocking for all of us! She quickly realized her mistake and took off but when we went to the front desk to ask how on earth that had happened all we got was confused looks and shrugs. Obviously there is a problem with the key cards, or the way that staff assign room numbers to them without first checking guest names, that someone could think our room was hers and gain access. Otherwise, the accommodations were as expected for a 3 star hotel: small room, bathroom a bit run down, bad soundproofing in the walls, very hard mattress, but good breakfast, and the best thing about the hotel is the location, close to everything by foot.

This is a very conveniently located hotel right next to some wonderful tapas bars and great shops. Short walk to Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. Honestly it’s conveniently located near all of the landmarks you want to see in Seville and if you go up to the terrace in the evening as the sun sets you’ll see an amazing view of the top of the cathedral. Staff are wonderful and we had no issues. I really loved the little balcony and we had tea out there every night. I guess my only reason for rating slightly lower is it’s an older hotel and it shows. The rooms are a little dirty, the beds are extremely firm and a bit uncomfortable, and there’s only a “body/hair wash” for the shower no conditioner or anything which I was not expecting because every hotel I’ve stayed in in Spain at least has the basics usually. Especially for the price I paid to stay here. But my husband loved the room. I didn’t hate it and it’s probably worth the slight discomfort for being in the location this hotel is in and the wonderful and friendly staff they have. Overall, I would probably stay again.

Only stayed one night. To be honest the room was a bit of a disappointment. The decor is fabulous but the rooms are a bit 1970s. Walls very thin, could hear our neighbours coughing all through the night. Breakfast was a additional 20euro and was ok to fill up. The postion is fabulous being right in the heart ofthe old town which is really what you are paying for.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Incredibly loud, not just from outside which is expected given the location, but inside as well until late. Horrible bed; has terrible back pain as a result. Blankets were so rough. I asked for an additional blanket since there were none in the room & although the front desk said they would send one up, I never received it. Paid for the breakfast buffet for 3 days & it was so bad I didn’t bother going again after the first day; tasteless eggs, only fruit out of a can (eg canned fruit salad), watered down juice. Ended up changing my trip to return to Madrid a day earlier. Perhaps the suites are nicer, but the single rooms are sh*tboxes. Only redeeming factors were decent air conditioning, a bath tub with hot water, and good location. Note that taxis cannot drop off or pick up directly near the hotel since it’s only accessed by narrow alleyways so you’ll be dragging your luggage for 2-3 minutes.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars because I don’t like leaving bad reviews, unless it’s deserved. The A/C in our room was broken so we had to move. The hotel is old and a bit run down. Which is surprising for the area it is in - which is fantastic, right in the heart of the old city. There’s a great restaurant right in the square at the entrance and there are numerous shops and restaurants within a 1 or 2 minute walk. The cathedral is 5 minutes away by foot. Great location - the hotel definitely needs an update.

The lobby/reception area is beautiful, and I was checked in by a wonderfully friendly member of staff. My room is what can best be described as dated. It was clean but things like the bed not having a headboard or the curtains not being made from blackout material brings down the overall feel of the hotel. There are vending machines and an ice machine on the ground floor, near the lift, which is great but there was nothing to hold the ice. Things like this make the hotel good but not quite great. That being said, the staff are wonderful and the location is perfect. Would I stay here again? Yes but I would lower my expectations.
