The member of staff was so friendly and helpful. We arrived for the Jazz Festival and had issues parking, but she quickly and effectively helped us. We had a balcony over looking the lake and festival, it was brilliant. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast, but it looked great. We did enjoy a couple of drinks at the bar upon arrival, which was lovely.
I would definitely recommend this perfectly situated hotel.

Very cute centrally located right in the heart of it all. Staff was exceptional make no mistake. It’s an older hotel but they’ve done a very good job modernizing it is great value for the money.

The last time i was at this property was nearly 15 years ago. It is still clean and well kept. The room we had was a bit small but ok for us. You could call them and request a larger room after the initial reservation. There is a nice breakfast available for 18 CHF but the regular restaurant wasn’t open at this time. There were lots of other restaurants within a few blocks walk.I was here before in winter and was kept warm. This time was summer and there is no air conditioning. There is a fan in every room and the windows open so cool air is available at night.
I would stay again!

No air conditioning. In July, it’s torture. Room was much hotter than it was outside. Couldn’t sleep. We left after one night even though we had already paid for three in advance because it was just too hot and uncomfortable.

There was no AC at the hotel. We visited there early July and it's almost impossible to sleep with the unbearable heat. The room we stayed in was tiny and stifling. I probably got a couple of hours of sleep with the fan blowing directly at me the whole night.

This place confused me. First of all, it was cheap. In the area, hotels were going for 5-6x what this hotel went for. I was going for one night, by myself, only for a short time, so I figured how bad could it be. It wasn’t bad but it kinda confused me, lol.
First, no air conditioning. I thought I saw AC so I booked but that was my mistake. The lady who runs the place is a little peculiar but very nice, and very helpful.
I rep an artist who was playing at the Montreax Jazz Festival til 5am. When I returned at about 5:45, I realized I left my key in my room and she woke up to help me. Very nice. She insisted that I stop for breakfast (it was included). I did even though I should have been sleeping. And she was delightful.
It is definitely the affordable option. With AC in July, that’s rough but it was cool at night when I was there and there was a fan so I was fine. I’m not sure I would stay there again, but that’s only because i probably could have afforded to go somewhere else with AC. But it is a good affordable option in an area where there aren’t many affordable places - especially during their famous music fest. I would recommend for the right people.

We had a terrible experience. Very hot unventilated room. Extremely dirty fans . Clogged and leaking toilet. Broken shower. Lots of mosquitoes. When we asked for a room change or help with issues the lady at reception rudely said , ‘I have many guests to look after, it’s not just you!’. In the morning around 8 am we woke up due to the renovation noise taking place in the adjacent room!
I regret not reading Google reviews throughly before booking this hotel!

Really friendly and helpful staff here, easy check in process. Simple room well ventilated with window to open as well as a fan. Eu adapters didn’t fit here but thankfully reception staff were able to help us with this the morning of check out. Really great location super central for shops and restaurants, station also a short walk away. The lake less than 4 min walk! The shower was a little troublesome it had to be angled very strangely and still didn’t get the full benefit. Not a huge amount of space in the bathroom but perfectly fine for one night!

The room that we booked was looking over a court yard. Wrong it overlooked a junk yard and onto the grotty balconies of the neighboring building.
The room was small and heated up quickly to the point it became unbearable.
Reception was a cheerful person, but played dumb when you asked about various things, no kindness!
I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.

This is a simple hotel with limited amenities and few staff.
Reasonably priced hotel opposite the lake in central location. Short walk to train station, shops and restaurants.
Some hotel areas have been refurbished but in an old building so tired in places.
I had a room overlooking the lake which was a bonus. Room was clean ,nice bed and I had everything I needed. A comfortable stay.

We picked this spot for its location for our one night stay in town. Room was fine, pillows could be much better as they were too thick. Also there is no AC but there was a fan available. We were in a room with balcony and could open the door in the middle of the night but didn’t feel comfortable to do it. So I’m not sure how the room feels during warmer months. Overall our stay was fine since we didn’t stay in the room much.
