The Hey Hotel

Parking is available in back of hotel but complicated to access. Property, family room and breakfast were very nice. Location also great and close to shops. But AC did not work and drain in shower was slow to drain. Seems like things they will fix eventually but it diminished our family stay.

Very clean room with daily cleaning services. Breakfast had plenty of options. Great location. Much closer to Interlaken West, but both train stations are walkable.

Where to start.....this is obviously a low budget hotel that caters to large tourist groups arriving by bus. The lobby and dining areas are reasonably attractive. But when you get to your room you go down a dingy hall and arrive at a grey cement stucco room. It is furnished with the cheapest furniture possible. Nothing to warm the room up in terms of any kind of color. There is no art on the walls. No rugs. My impression was that the best way to clean the room would be to simply hose it down. They are definitely nickel and diming you - you don't get even a glass to drink water out of. You get one cheap plastic glass. The duvet and pillow covers were fine but the actual bottom mattress sheet was substantially a cheaper quality. I think it was about to pill. The breakfast was disappointing. I got scrambled eggs. At least I thought they were scrambled eggs. But they were some kind of ersatz fake nightmare. So on to the fruit - the pineapple looked like it have been wheeled out for days. Everything was canned. Children were sneezing onto the food everywhere. But the surprise is that they put salad greens out. This was a first for me. To see salad greens for breakfast. Maybe I should have had salad for breakfast because the rest was unpalatable. And due to the high volume of people they were having trouble staying on top of keeping it clean. Bottom line, I would never go back to this hotel. But the people working there were very nice. This inferior hotel is way overpriced.

It’s an ok hotel but rooms are very hot. No microwave, fridge, phone, or suitcase stand. Not a wide selection for breakfast

The Hey Hotel is the perfect example of minimalist design that works. The rooms are appointed with a series of cubbies which at first give them the appearance of being sparse. Not so. Those cubbies kept us so organized during our 5 day stay. The bed is comfortable and shower was great. The breakfast options were generous and delicious. Fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, pastries, cereal, yogurt and pancakes were some of the options along with bacon, beans,and potatoes. Fresh made eggs available on request. The real star of the Hey Hotel for us however was the helpful front desk crew. So friendly and always on hand for conversation about where to hike and what to do. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

Rooms are large and comfortable. Perfect location for exploring downtown.

The room is big and clean. The staff are friendly and warm. The breakfast is awesome!

Good location and size of the room. The breakfast was ok. Shampoo, conditioner, showerproof and lotion provided. As well as tea and coffee.

The room with balcony was perfection. The breakfast had plenty of options and fresh. Loved our stay. The staff in the front desk was beyond helpful.

Breakfast included and had a great selection of foods and drinks. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Right near Interlaken west train station. (5 minute walk) plenty of dining options and shopping all within 15 minutes walking.

Nice hotel but it caters more to groups. A lot of busses with groups of people. At breakfast the room was very busy. The best part was the location- close to busses and trains.

The hotel was sufficient for our needs, however it was very basic. There were no wash clothes, only one pillow for each person. The internet was so slow it was useless. I ran a speed test on the internet, it was so slow it wouldn’t register a speed. The location was excellent.

Towels in room are thin and small. No ice machine available. Didn’t see vending either. Room was ok but small and basic

The staff was very helpful, breakfast was excellent with many options. The hotel is in middle of the city cu bus station in front of this hotel. I will recommend

Perfect location close to everything. Great view from balcony. Loved it!

If you stay here you need to be aware that you can’t regulate the heating and cooling. Cooling is by opening the window. Can make sleeping difficult if it is mild to warm weather. No mini bar fridge or a shelf in shower. Very expensive for what it is.

Great place to stay in Interlaken. Breakfast was amazing. Room was great, balcony was huge, people were extremely friendly. The only suggestions are firmer pillows and a refrigerator in the room. But even so… loved it.

Room wasn’t clean. I had to come down (Bec there’s no phone in room) to tell staff the floor was VERY STICKY and the room smells like bad disinfectant. The room has no chair!! No face towel either. No glass in bathroom; just a plastic cup. Will not stay here again.

Room is clean and fragrant. However, there’s a lot of noises at past midnight that can be heard. A lot of construction going on during daytime. Breakfast is nice but can improve by changing set of menu each day. Staff are amazing and helpful.
