Hampton Inn Birch Run/Frankenmuth

The soap & lotion dispensers are placed a little high. I am 5'2" and it was a stretch for me to reach. I can't imagine if i were shorter or a child. Staff were all quite friendly and helpful.

The property looks like it’s getting a lot of updates. Our room was clean and had some normal ware. The beds though are very hard so made it tough to sleep. Over all stay was very nice and close to shopping outlets and not to far from Bronner’s.

Only thing that was VERY DISAPPOINTING was that there was not a hot tub. I researched your website to be sure we had all the amenities we we looking for so that is why we choose your Hotel. If I had know this we would have chosen another hotel so unfortunately we will not be back or recommend your hotel to others. I would highly suggest you update your website.

The property was next to I-75 but the approach to it at night was not marked and we had to hunt for the right road to lead to it. Breakfast was OK but they ran out of coffee (at least temporarily).

Clean comfortable room.

The start was good. The bathroom did smell like urine and the toilet sounded like it has a leak inside. Overall it was good.

Overall clean, however updates are needed. Stains all over carpet in room.

Therecwas no hot tub as stated, the pool room was extremely hot, for five guests we had to ask for more towels,, the road noise was unbearable i didnt sleep all night.

Friendly staff

In all fairness there is a sign saying that the hotel is under construction (we didn’t see any construction). This hotel was also short staffed so it did have an effect (more so at breakfast). The rooms themselves were decent though there were stains on the carpet in our room. There was a tv and a small fridge, but no microwave. The beds were firm and the pillows were soft. With that said, while I did manage a little bit of sleep each night, I woke up in pain every morning. The shower offers plenty of height however, the water pressure is severely lacking. The bathroom was large and it looks to have been redone at some point, but the toilet seems to be lower than normal. We did like that the room was spacious and had a desk and a table for counter space. The indoor pool had a pleasant temperature but there was a lot of chlorine so the outside doors were kept open thereby letting bugs inside and into the pool. Also, the pool is showing some serious wear with chips in many spots. The breakfast in the morning was lacking and the sausage tasted off. There was constantly a line for the waffle maker so unless you wanted to wait, there weren’t many options. I would say it was typical hotel food but that would be too generous of a comment. My family did stay at this same hotel a few years ago (gave it 4 stars back then) and we can see how it has unfortunately gone downhill. Though the customer service was good, I can no longer recommend this location.

Freeway noise so close. Room was not vacuumed, fuzz and strings on floor. Amother guest found bedbugs in their room. Staff very very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately employee stated no bedbugs found "only previous sign of past infestation." Really? Should be no signs and they can travel from room to room. Brkfst great.

All in all we had a good experience. The room was comfortable and the beds were pretty good. The property as a whole seems to have some age to it. Some touch up painting needs to be done, and the carpet in the room was worn a bit. The free breakfast was bad on Sunday morning. The eggs were not good at all. Went with the waffles and fruit. Staff was friendly and helpful. No foul there. The pool was clean and inviting after a long day in town shopping and sight seeing. Good job Hampton!

A LOT of renovations. Our bathroom faucet was not working properly and kept falling off!!!! The door would not close all of the way unless you slammed it shut, since the wood was chipped away. I have stayed here multiple times in the past and it was great. I was pretty disappointed this time.

The carpet was dirty, and stained. The pool room was 120 degrees. The toilet was 16 inches off the ground as if it was made for a child. There was so much dust in the room making it hard to breath or sleep. This is why we choose to leave a day early. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good. Would we go back there? No way!

Nice place, clean, friendly staff. Not crazy new building but well maintained. Can definitely recommend.
