The hotel is being upgraded but the service was exceptional - there was an issue pre-stay with our room due to the ongoing upgrades and they more than rectified it. That’s how customer service should be - well done! Family of 4 stayed - we will be back. Can’t wait to see it once everything is finished.

The hotel was being renovated, so the reception area was moved to the back of the property and our room was on an upper floor in a part of the hotel without a lift - a challenge with luggage. That said, the staff were attentive and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Building work across the hotel restricted things so that reception and dinner/breakfast served in temp locations but staff did there best to make things seem normal.

Currently undergoing refurb so main reception restaurant and bar closed. Temp reception and staff did their best and forewarned us. Breakfast was still excellent, room was great and v comfy bed

It is difficult to review as the Hotel is undergoing work and the City View room could not be offered. However everything that was expected was provided.

We booked here for Saturday 28th March, the tv didn’t work (called maintenance and this was fixed) and the coffee machine was missing. I received an email 3 days before our stay to inform us there were renovations ongoing and the bar would be closed. This was particularly frustrating as we had booked this hotel in November. There had been no communication before hand, so no opportunity to book a different hotel.

The property is under full refurbishment, so very disappointing they charge the same price.

Great place to stay as a couple or family , so much in the area for kids. Staff were. Friendly and helpful.

Nicely refurbished rooms … The Hotel is bang in the centre of things, sadly the front of house refurbishment work limited their full potential when we stayed but I’m sure it will look great when it’s finished ..

The room temperature was perfect as were the staff.

We were fully aware of the refurbishment going on in the hotel. The hotel staff were courteous, friendly and professional which goes along way, considering the restrictions of where the hotel guests could have access within the hotel. Our hotel room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and hot..

The service was great. Lovely room (we booked a twin so it gave us the equivalent of a super king mattress). Good breakfast.

I would recommend the castle hotel to everyone. Lovely hotel, great location and the staff were so friendly and helpful. On arrival to the hotel, I went to check in, and found I’d booked the wrong date, I was a week early. Expedia did nothing whatsoever to help me, apart from try to charge me the same price of the room again, to change my booking, even though I spend £1000s through them every year. It was my mistake, but I found Expedias response to the situation very disappointing. However, the lady on reception and someone from the reservations team…. I can’t remember either of their names, did everything they could to help and even got me a refund on the room that I incorrectly booked and I can’t thank them enough. If you ever stay in Windsor, then make sure you stay here
