It was okay, fair. Clean enough. Room was a bit dated and dog eared and ready for a refurb. Stayed in better hotels for much less money. Breakfast was good. Struggled a bit with the bar and waiting staff and their poor command of the English language.

Room dirtyand extremely hot with no AC

The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room and the hotel itself was very clean, however a bit tired but there was workmen in during our stay so looks like they are getting some work done. We'd definitely be back

100% recommend this property, excellent value, clean and tidy, room great, spa facilities lovely, breakfast well provided and attentive staff especially the lady working on both mornings. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the hard working staff during this hot weather!

We enjoyed the 2 night stay in the hotel, staff were polite, breakfast was lovely and kids loved the swimming pool. Nice place

No air conditioning in rooms (just in bar and lounge. ) rooms need updating . Rest all good

We took a room on a budget which was small as described. In bath shower needs a grab handle for older or less able patrons. It's dangerous without. Breakfast was a mediocre affair with many hot goods obviously sitting for long periods. Pet friendly should not mean dogs running g about and barking in the dining room.

The staff are amazing and the location is convenient. The room was clean enough but nothing special. The TV remote didn't work properly which drove us mad and there wasn't much coffee provided. We had drinks in the bar but they were very expensive and we ate in the Brasserie one evening. The food was okay but again, nothing special. Not sure we would stay here again.

Room not clean, dirty bed sheets and bathroom. We actually didn’t stay the night in the end as it was that bad.

The staff at reception, bar and restaurant were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious but I did have a family room for myself and my son. Room was a bit dated and the cleanliness was just ok. Flooring in the bathroom room was lifting along the edges of panels so had to be careful the my 4 year old so didn’t go in with bare feet

Had bed and breakfast. Breakfast excellent. If I have to be hypercritical, it was a long walk to the bedroom

Nice hotel with a modern feel. Friendly staff. Main disappointment was the evening meal which was on the pricey side and took a long time to arrive

Don't stay in summer, the rooms are way too hot and don't have air con. Even with the windows open and a fan going it was a very uncomfortable temperature.

Good location, clean rooms

This is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are dated and definitely not as clean as you would like. The bathroom was in terrible condition with the bath all stained and the sink chipped. The walls are so thin you can the conversations of the people in the room next door. The pool and changing rooms were so dirty and poorly maintained. The breakfast was so bad, nothing felt fresh and all the food had clearly been sat out for a while. The only saving grace for this hotel is the staff, all of whom were really friendly and helpful.

Perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay in Chester, plus loads of great amenities. However it was very warm in the rooms but it was an exceptionally hot day

Staff are a credit to the hotel.

Decent room and good breakfast ..

Clean rooms and pool was good. No air conditioning in the rooms and fire alarms kept going off in the evening. Overall was a good stay.
