The property was ideal for our break, very clean and well kept. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful and polite. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the sauna wasn't in operation but everything else was great and as described. We travelled to Chester by train and found the public transport and taxis very reasonably priced with the local buses stopping almost outside of the hotel drive. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, a very good experience overall. Paul and Jean

The staff were lovely and helpful,the breakfast fantastic. The room was small,but was a compact double,and was a bit tired. The gym and pool facilities were very good. Well positioned to have lovely walk along canal, and easy car ride 7 mile to Cheshire oaks and aquarium.

Stayed to see relatives hotel was welcoming and friendly a few guests had a few arguments we thought it was like Jeremy Kyle for a bit but the hotel itself was great. We have been here before

It was a very enjoyable stay and the staff were excellent. The only glitch was when paying for my stay on check-in and there was some sort of malfunction with the payment system. It was a lengthy wait while it was being sorted out but these unexpected problems do occur from time to time.

Found the staff very cold and not that helpful, hotel was empty couldn’t purchase any food on arrival, bar didn’t sell any drinks I asked for, pool was closed on first day, wouldn’t stay here again

Well run hotel , exceptional helpful staff , gave one less star, because bedrooms were a bit stark,heating was a electric convector on wall in bedroom , didn’t seem to be any in bathroom, but very comfortable beds.

The hotel and its amenities were great, thanks, and the room was very comfortable. Sadly, though, other patrons made so much noise in the corridor and their room overnight that our sleep was disturbed, which was especially annoying as we had wanted to get up early and use the pool before checking out to pay a last visit to our family, who are local. My daughter and I have stayed here before though, without having these sorts of problems.

The leisure facilities are nice however the hotel is in need of an update all round.
The pillows and especially the bed need to be renewed. It was kept clean so the service staff do a great job.
Staffing isn’t over plentiful and you often have to go looking for them as they are utilised across the whole hotel.

Disappointed in how thin the walls were(noises from adjacent room disturbed sleep; noises from corridor very loud ).
