The staff were not that friendly and the room I had with my son was poor for the price I paid for 3 nights, the location was excellent, the bed quality was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept in I actually got a bad Lower back from it, the people above us were also very noisy too and kept me awake the first night for at least 2 hours, I did complain and I was able to go into Another room on our last night which was so much better and most of all comfortable for us, so I’m happy the manager was able to do this but would of liked to of been moved rooms the day I complained but the hotel was fully booked at that time, i could go on and write more but i probably will not return back to this hotel again which is a shame.

I had limited expectations due to the other negative reviews. From outside the hotel looks fab, it’s in a great location. Check in was quick and easy, our room was clean, very spacious - it was warm but it’s summer and they don’t have air con. We left our windows open and it was fine. The bar / dining areas are lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment was a bonus - wasn’t expecting it. The pool / spa is good, slightly worn / old but working and clean. Great views. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but what you’d expect for a budget hotel. It’s a great place - would recommend

We stayed at royal bath hotel for four nights the room was never cleaned or bed made and we had to go to reception and ask for clean towels.

Reception staff not helpful at all

Our room was spacious but the carpet still not been hoovered well as there were some sweets in the corner. Decor was lovely and bathroom clean. We had a problem accessing plug points and this was dealt with promptly. Reception staff were excellent. Meals were excellent and staff were all very helpful and keen to help. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We were given an old room and had to walk a long way to get there. The bathroom needs renovating! The toilet took a long time to refill and was noisy. Shower was awful. The room was okay just the location. The staff were unhelpful when it came to car parking as I knew hotel had parking and was willing to pay but the staff was trying to tell me to park somewhere else and move my car and keep paying their car park, in the end they found a space for me.

When booking a small room not all have windows be sure to ask if this is a problem for you. But as always a lovely hotel great staff and a relaxed stay

Positives: good location, I do like the pool. This is a very dated hotel. The hotel is like a maze , always hard to find the rooms and directions are not super clear. On this particular occasion my room didn’t have any windows or a hair dryer.

More of a holiday village than a hotel which was great, plenty of things to do. Good pool, great grounds, good bar and restaurant. Great location Only down side was that the lifts were out. Not good in a hotel full of stairs.

This is historical old hotel. The restaurant and bar decor is nice with nice furnishings.The hotel has good facilities for private functions or events. There are also nice gardens in the hotel .The location is right next to the beach and walking distance to the town However Parking at this hotel is extortionate at £28 per day. We booked a small double room at £118 per night. You get what you pay for. A small room with a small double bed. There is no air conditioning in the room and was very hot but we had a fan. The room has a window but it faces the roof with little daylight and breeze. The rooms are not serviced during your stay so if you need anything, you contact the reception. The breakfast service is self service buffet. We decided to purchase self service buffet dinner and it was poor with a poor selection of food. There is no waiting service at dinner, if you want soft drink,you get it yourself and you have to go to the bar to purchase alcoholic drinks. The spa building needs to be renovated as it is tatty from the outside, The inside seems ok but needs modernisation. You also have to pay £5 to use the spa facilities.The staff are nice but the hotel doesn't have enough of them to provide a certain level of service considering it is rated 4 star hotel. I feel it should be rated 3 Star because most things are self service. The breakfast and dinner closing times are very early and the checkout time is too early during the week. I don't think we will return to this hotel.

Room was clean and well maintained, but parking price was so expensive something could have added on website regarding parking fees.

Rooms need updating on the second floor the furniture is dated and falling apart Bathrooms good condition the.pillows are hard need to be softer. Rooms very hot in July one small noisy fan provided if not putting in air conditioning then supply few more upright standing fans in the rooms. I would also say the entertainment staff worked very hard you could provide maybe 1 or 2 professional acts. The breakfast very good you need to provide fruit in morning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and good value for money.

Enjoyed our stay but was upset that we wasn't told the pool was out of use as the swimming pool is one of the resin I book this hotel.

Amazing staff and very helpful. The room was super clean and tidy, despite being in the older (so not refurned) part of the hotel. It was worth it for the super sea view! It was a shame that the pool was not in operation, but these things happen. We have stayed here several times, including during the slight freeing up of lockdown, and have many happy memeories of enjoying the beautiful garden. Breakfast was slightly lovely but not of the same standard as previously, although it was delightful to see many of the same staff doing a great job. Thank you - we will be back!

We booked a small double room via Expedia and it wasn’t until we received the check in email that it stated the room was “windowless”. However when we arrived, the reception desk did change it to a room with a small window that opened slightly. The room was tiny, the bedding had a stain on it, the carpet had stains on it,a fan had been provided due to the heat which was horrendous but the fan was covered in dust. We didn’t end up staying here we lost our money and booked at another hotel. Wouldn’t recommend.
