Great location if your going to donnington park, great pub over the road castle inn. The hotel... mmm.. room had stains on carpet smelt of mould, fusty reception, room didn't match reality as given on an email it was room 30 let yourself in but in reality it was locked, so went to reception it became room 6. No bar open, dirty glasses dirty cobwebbed staircase unloved, and thats being polite. Everything you touched in the room was grubby, stucky bathroom floor in the room uncomfortable mattress not a great night's sleep more care and attention needed regarding rooms. It's such a shame as it looks like a lovely place by the stock photos but in reality it's a tired building needing love.

We had a function at the Manor at the start of December. The service was exceptional. James and the team couldn't do enough to help and checked in multiple times with myself and my family to ensure everything was perfect. The staff prior to the function and after understood all our requirements and were happy to make alterations. We asked for a small desert table and this did not disappoint. Amazing service, and good food. Thank you so much for all your effort on the day and before, for what was a very difficult day, it was made easier to know everything was looked after and nothing was too much trouble.

Off the bat the owner seemed a nice enough chap but it seems he was way over his head with running the place ! On arrival no hot water in the room for a shower ! The owner said he hadn't switched the boiler on when obviously he knew we were arriving so a 45 minute wait for hot water ! The room was full of spiders and moths and that's a fact ! Very antiquated and gloomy ! The stairs to the rooms had 3 different carpets with loose floorboards ! The worst was when we arrived from donnington Park race circuit the reception door was LOCKED ! paying guests and they locked us out ! We went to the pub opposite as we couldn't gain access to our room ! After 1 hour wait we saw two ladies leaving I asked them if they could open the door they said they would tell the owner who eventually did open the reception door and said I WAS UPSTAIRS WORKING SORRY ! God forbid if anyone had an emergency they would be stumped as they couldn't gain access to their belongings ! Disappointed beyond belief ! We booked for two nights but only stayed one as we had had enough ! Be warned folks !

The owner can't even achnowledge a business meeting, let alone look after its customers. i can only describe this place as "FAULTY TOWERS" its an absolute joke in a very nice village. we went last christams and the food was poor, they are that tight they had spotify christmas music on a free account, so adverts inbetween music . get a grip it costs 9 quid a month.
