Staff were amazing! Clean rooms. Beautiful beach. Only downside for me was how early all the bars closed. Only the lobby bar was open past 5-6pm. Also, no food options after the buffet closes at 10pm. With a younger crowd, we were looking for late night snacks and there were zero options… even for purchase.

Pros. Hotel. Very clean, lots of pool, staff was excellent. Food and drinks included Cons. (I’m admitting I’m a food snob). The food wasn’t really good. Drink “top shelf” Smirnoff Bacardi captain morgan Jim beam and sometimes I saw Johnny black. The frozen drinks had a strange taste

1-Need much more organization 2- too slow in dining area 3-the worst part or experience is that we got a call at 12:30am from the reception just to tell us that the check out is at 12pm 4-no umbrella for our whole 7 day stay!

Lines to buffet, poor choice of dishes, no food left at chef's station leaves bad impression. So called pool/bar at the main lobby is lrft to imagination what to do there. The resort looks like is struggling to keep up with appearance but in no vain. Beside the gorgeous sea which we love a lot I wouldn't recommend to go there. It's not even 3 stars . The Speedy shuttle service was not speedy at all, in fa t they had us wait for more than an hour to get from airport to hotel giving lame excuses though the trip was about 20 minites. That also spiled our vacation mood.

Room was great! Room staff always treated us well and cleaned well. Entertainment staff - Israel and Rubin have always been so friendly and helpful. They remember and greet everyone like they are special. Make sure people can be involved if the want. I am not impressed with new management. Pool was cold most of the time we were there. Last 2 days finally warm enough to get in and enjoy activities. Only able to reserve 3 times in the restaurants which wasn’t great. The buffet was okay but not great. The omelets in the morning were my favorite thing. Oliglia ( not sure spelling) was a master at it. Bartenders Mauricio and Abraham and wait staff very friendly and took great care of us. Loved Pinto, Lizeth, and Angel. Now, management… requested pool to be heated from day one, told it would be and it wasn’t. Attempted to request more reservations but ignored. Entertainment manager wore no name tag or the new uniforms but was present expecting them to follow his rules. As guests we felt the strain amongst staff although no one said anything or acted differently, it felt off. It is not the same vibe from the previous 5 years and I will be looking for different resorts to visit in the future.

Do not stay here! The staff was not friendly or helpful when needed help with multiple things. Our app did not work correctly for dinner and when asking multiple times for help we were just told to go to the restaurant when it opened. Each time we were turned away. The buffet food was awful. The bathrooms in the facility were always out of toilet paper and hand soap even at 11am. Our air did not work in our room so we had to go down every day and ask for help. When I asked if we could get our refrigerator restocked with water and beer due to the inconvenience we were told no. The pool bar water was dirty and slimy most days. Great stay. Liked the option to have either a quiet adult only pool or the busy family pool. Loved that the WIFI worked wherever you went and never had to log back in after the first time. A/C in the bedroom was either off or freezing (ok as it had a fan.) Entertainment in the lobby was very loud. Drinks weren’t consistent throughout but the pours were plentiful!

Not only were there clean facilities, but the staff was super nice, accommodating, and gave us a direct line to ask questions and get help whenever we needed something. We got VIP treatment with our Expedia benefits and got a free room upgrade with an ocean view! 10/10 would definitely come back to this same resort!

DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH A BIG GROUP. I traveled to Cancun with a group of 15 people (12 adults and 3 kids), and staying at GR Solaris Cancun was one of the most frustrating travel experiences we’ve had. We planned this trip 5 months in advance, made specific room requests early (king beds, crib, rooms close together), and none of it was honored. Check-in alone took 45 minutes. We were given no king room, no crib, and our rooms were scattered across different floors. If you’re counting on your requests being respected — don’t. The room itself looked decent at first glance, but we had two serious issues: • The sliding balcony door did not lock (major safety concern). • We found dirty boxer underwear hidden between the extra pillows. When we reported this, staff showed zero urgency and never once apologized. Finding someone else’s underwear in your room should not be treated as “normal,” yet that’s exactly how it felt. We asked to move rooms and requested to be closer to family — that turned into another nightmare. They made us check out of our room before 11am but didn’t have a new room available until 2pm. We had two kids with us. We were left waiting around for hours with luggage. Completely inconvenient and poorly handled. Now let’s talk about restaurants — because this was the biggest disaster. Room was clean, couldn’t find dust in even the hardest to reach places. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive benefits and the Expedia VIP perks put it over the top. Food quality and selection was solid, and for a family with kids the buffet and snack bars are clutch. Seemed like there was also a daily surprise cookout almost every day with something delicious. We also enjoyed the daily activities, particularly the water aerobics with Israel and Ruben. We only went to one evening show, but we found it entertaining. It was clear that the staff care and put effort into making the experience enjoyable for guests. The beach was very nice and the ocean was the most spectacular color I’ve ever seen. We would be very happy to have an opportunity to stay here again.

The facilities are good overall, but the rooms need upgrades. Entertainment is very limited, and the hotel feels too quiet. Except for a few friendly staff members, most employees seemed unhappy. Food variety is poor and quality is average, even at the specialty restaurants. Breakfast gets overcrowded, and the service at the overflow restaurant is weak due to understaffing. Overall, I would not return to this hotel.
