Staff were so helpful and accommodating. The property had so much charm and very inviting. The bed was comfortable. Had everything I needed. The soaps and coffees were local and added a nice touch.

Very beautiful property in a fantastoc location with very helpful staff. Very nice walk to Victoria Harbour (35 minutes brisk and 75 minute leisurely with stops to see all attractions). Good and thoughtful amenities. Building is a heritage site so has some drawbacks like ageing plumbing and bathtub for shower that would be challenging for climbing into a high tub.

Check-in staff was very welcoming and the stay included a gift of chocolates and one of their brews. Complimentary parking and easy access to walking trails is a huge plus. Room is located in a heritage house. Our room was on the main floor and sound does travel from hallways and upper floors, but it did not affect our enjoyment. The bed was quite comfortable and room was clean. It would have been nice to have an electrical outlet in the bathroom, or a mirror in the main room near an outlet. A French press and tea kettle were in the room for tea/coffee. We had noticed the room has a bit of a ‘vintage house’ smell, but again this booking met or exceeded most of our needs, that this was not an issue. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Wonderful place to stay that was beloved by the locals. Every time we mentioned where we were staying we got a big smile and warm treatment. The pub was great with terrific, helpful and friendly staff. Day and night. Tasty brews and fantastic loaves of bread for sale. It was close enough to walk into the city, but we loved taking the water taxi. The stop was really close by. You can rent bikes right next door to the Heritage House where you stay. The rooms are not above the pub btw - but just 50 yards away, Quiet at night. Room was comfortable with a lot of charm for the money. Soaking tub with jets was great after our hiking and kayak rental. Loved every minute of our short but sweet holiday. Thank you Spinnakers.

We had an amazing weekend! Love that the pub was close and we could pop over for dinner or appy’s and a beer. After we checked out we sat on the deck and had lunch while we enjoy the waterfront views! Thank you so much for everything!

Nice room with nice nearby walking trail. Great food at the pub. The shower had great water pressure. But the mattress sagged in the middle. No darkening shades on the windows. Loved the location though.

Overall had a good experience with a few areas that could really use improvement. The place itself was very large and spacious, with beautiful views of the downtown waterfront. It was also very quiet and relaxing, which made for a peaceful stay. The high ceilings and large windows gave the house a lot of charm, and the fireplace would be wonderful during colder days. That said, there are several maintenance and cleanliness issues that should be addressed. The stairs leading to the second floor definitely need some TLC, the wood is old and feels overdue for refinishing or repair. Parking was also limited in the driveway, although there was some street parking available nearby. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of air conditioning. I was told there would be A/C in the room, but there was none. This became especially uncomfortable because there are no screens on the windows, so opening them to cool down let in a large number of bugs. While the beautiful high ceilings were impressive, there were noticeable cobwebs and dust, including on the chandeliers, which made it feel like the space hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. The couch could also use a good shampooing. In addition, the desk chair was broken; it was an older woven-seat chair, and the seat had given out. With a few minor fixes, better cleaning, and some updates, this place could be absolutely amazing because the location, views, and character of the property are truly excellent.

Heritage building with character. Close to seawall. Beer flight with chocolate. Restaurant wasn’t open until 11 a.m.

The room had a great view of the ocean and the property is located on a nice walking path that leads into downtown Victoria, about a kilometer and a half away.

Did not try the breakfast but the staff totally made me feel welcome and the room brought me back to staying with family as a child - comfortable/spacious/timeless. I love that this has been restored and it captures a timeless style in a fast pace time. Thank you!

The guest house at Spinnakers is a unique experience. You can't beat the location and the view from our room was amazing. Our suite was very roomy and included a Jacuzzi tub. That said, the property could use some TLC and the mattress on the bed has seen better days. Overall recommended though.
