A really lovely couple of days away here.
We were so warmly welcomed at reception by Maria, when we passed through reception again a few hours later and the next day she'd not only remembered us but some of the conversation we had during check-in. A small thing to do but goes a long way to making guests feel welcomed.
Room was nice and spacious as well as clean. Amenities within the room were also great with tea and coffee making and bits for the bathroom too. Only slight complaint and frustration, our shower head was loose in its cradle and kept falling to face the wall meaning we had to hold the shower ourself to get the water where it was needed. This was reported the first morning going to breakfast just after we noticed the problem, we were told it would be looked at during the day but to our knowledge it wasn't as it was still the same when we next used the shower and there was no note left to indicate they'd been unable to fix it same day.
Food was fantastic!! Lots of choice for breakfast including cereal, pastries, fruit and yogurt as well as various hot options that were cooked to order. We had an evening meal in The Cove Bar one evening too which was also delicious and reasonably priced too. Spa area was also nice and clean with towels provided. Hot rooms are mostly quite small but as there are a few you could easily rotate around them and the pool area. As it's school half-term week, it was quite busy but times for children is restricted.
Overall a fantastic stay.
