On prior years' visits, the experience was much better. Unfortunately, the hotel has deteriorated this from the smaller to bigger aspects: prices have increased, service decreased e.g. no drinking water in the deluxe room, restaurant food not good/over priced, they allowed a very loud high school graduation party in the central area, which was bad enough on a Friday evening, but instead of ending at 11 pm it went past 1 am (many guests complained), and the reservations department was unfriendly and not service oriented. Sad because this was my go-to hotel in Loreto, but I do not expect to return again...

Room ok, AC ok, staff ok, but the amenities awful, the pool was dirty, the outside of pool walking area section of concrete broken, really disappointed

I rarely leave negative reviews, but people deserve to know what to expect before booking at Loreto Bay Golf Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. We were first given keys to a room that was literally flooded with water. After returning to the front desk, we were handed keys to another room and told to "go check if you like it." The key didn't even work, so we had to go back again for another one. Instead of staff verifying the room was ready, we were expected to do it ourselves. The property has incredible potential, but it desperately needs major maintenance and renovation. Everywhere you look there are signs of neglect. The concrete walkways are stained with black tar and gum, the facilities are worn down, and the entire property feels like it's been left behind. The room was disappointing. The mini refrigerator didn't actually refrigerate anything—we were told it had no Freon and only kept items at room temperature. The television looked like a tiny 19-inch TV from decades ago. Housekeeping wasn't much better. We found coffee stains on the headboard when we checked in, and a dirty wet cleaning rag was left in the bathroom, making the entire room smell like mildew. To top it all off, that evening we discovered a huge cockroach in the shower.The advertised Wi-Fi was essentially nonexistent. Despite being told there was internet service throughout the property, we could never get a usable signal during our stay. The recreation areas were equal

Beautiful

The first room they gave us, the bathroom was nasty, took the issue either way the manager, he couldn’t care less, just gave us another room (Manager Carlos). The hotel needs much upkeep, everything is very old no maintenance what so ever, the staff tryied their best to help us, but they were understaffed, the manager shined for his absence, never saw him again.

Breakfast was terrible! Everything else was okay.

Great place to stay and swim at a nice beach. Property needs lots of maintenance. Service is okay.

Awesome place to stay, property is older but they keep it very clean, staff is super friendly. Thumbs up to Carlos at Lobby, bar/restaurant staff Gibram, Orlando, Guillermo, Jorge Luis and aka "Chino". Loreto Bay is affordable and a great place to stay.

The absolute worst resort I have ever been to so far. The resort is in disarray. The landscaping is horrendous, the staff is lazy . The Service was exceptionally slow. Their only bright spot is their food. That was really good once you got it. It is obvious, they are in financial trouble. Short staffed in the maintenance area. Myself and a friend had to net the pool throughout the day. The flowers from the unkept trees and wasps were quite bothersome. Let’s put it this way… if they offered me a free week because of this survey, I wouldn’t take it!

This is such a beautiful property if it was only maintained… it was probably gorgeous in the 70s but the pools are dirty the rooms most likely haven’t been updated since the 70s… lots of bugs, mold, leaks. The price point reflects that it’s a 2 star place. If all you need is a place to crash it works & the beach is beautiful. The golf course is not affiliated with the hotel at all & is also super neglected. It’s sad to see such potential wasted

We like coming to Loreto Bay Resort. So relaxing and swimming the bay is so enjoyable

Staff is fantastic, whole complex is very clean and nice. Facilities are a little bit dated, but would and will return. Nothing was off putting for me, just not new anymore. Plenty of everything that you need.

Room was unclean. I step on sharp staples and hurt my foot. A hard plastic with sharp staples was loose from the bottom of bed and I was walking bare feet and stepped on the staples and cut my foot. I was bleeding a little. I applied my own self care. Also, I requested the patio to be cleaned and dusted but it was not done. Staff was unmotivated
