Excellent

Our stay was amazing

A grand, classic, well preserved hotel. Very comfy. Very good restaurant with good waiting staff. Lightening fast laundry which was a great surprise. Short walking distance ro several government offices if on business.

Hotel ia nice, rooms are huge, but the breakfast buffet is dreadful. Few choices and taste is not very good.

A very good well presented hotel in a great location for the city attractions, bars and restaurants. The hotel was comfortable with huge bedrooms, great shower room, temperature control and wi-fi. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot or cold. The staff were very attentive and helpful, would recommend.

The spa is not available every day.

It looked great at the beginning, though, when I arrive, there were an upset guest at the reception wondering if staff ignores him because of the black colour of his skin. The lifts are not working properly, while producing scary noises, it closes door randomly hitting you merciless. When I asked a security guya direction to the spa, he politely showed me but his uniform was stinking of sweat, quite unbearable. Room was huge but has very narrow windows with a wall to another building. Though, the hotel wasn't busy, they decided to give an upgrade to that room as I have a platinum with Expedia. Bed light on one side weren't working and another switch on for a standing lamp, as you can see from a picture, were left very dangerously dismantled, hopefully it didn't kill me. The worst part were in the evening, when I tried to sleep at 10pm but it was very loud music from outside. I contacted reception and they said in a rude way that is not their responsibility and I m in the city center. They didn't offer apologies, changing rooms or ear plugs. I don't think it is good standart for 5 stars hotel having such poor noise isolation. Also, the pillows are very uncomfortable , old and cheap quality. The breakfast was good, though. The spa looks claustrophobic and not comfortable. Somehow I got a sense that the staff of hotel is frustrated and behaving passively - aggressively with guests. Def not 5 stars, something between 2 and 3 maybe.
